TarHeelBlue Report post Posted May 11, 2017 Seems like a really cool event. Wondering if any of the TT Aventador/Gallardo/Huracan/R8s are gonna be in attendance? I would suspect the Aventadors could put all of the power down from the hit (with the meatier rubber) on pump rather the staging the boost thru the gears. emanon Report post Posted May 11, 2017 My money, big cubes will win this. Watch for the POS & vipers to handle business.
Allen Olson Report post Posted May 11, 2017 I'm sure the Huracans and Gallardos with big builds can be pushed to 1250+whp pushing the limits. They definitely will be a contender! The twin turbo vipers may be an issue as they can make 1400+whp on pump!
Speed Syndicate Report post Posted May 11, 2017 Gonna be hard to predict class winners. Got some very quick cars coming. Saunders is driving the "blue" Nth Viper in the 93 class with Calvo and Felipe. Fastest 1/4 mile Gen 5 Viper (Jake) is running the E class. Van is bringing the black Porsche Anthony Taylor used to own (current 1/2 mile record holder for that platform). T1 is bringing Asier's GTR and Palo's new 2017. For the Lambo/Audi platform all are in the 93 class but one LP is in the E85 class. Chudy and Sebastian will be repping the UR camp. Its really all up in the air for competition, which makes is exciting.
Underground Racing Report post Posted May 11, 2017 We have to sit this one out. There is a local 1/2 mile event going on just outside of Charlotte next weekend. I would have loved to go though with the yellow Huracan. There are two stage 3's going. Not sure they will put up a fight against those vipers. Would need a water/meth setup to hang. The twin turbo vipers may be an issue as they can make 1400+whp on pump! You can make 2000hp on e85 easily without it being pushed on the big builds
CHADW Report post Posted May 12, 2017 Go Viper! As emanon said, you can't beat cubic inches when running pump gas. And you can't beat a rear wheel drive, drag suspension, big tire at the drag strip. So of the cars built in this century, I'd put my money on the Vipers.
emanon Report post Posted May 12, 2017 Chad, what kind of hp was your bee making at PGD? iirc you guys ripped off a high 8 around 170.
CHADW Report post Posted May 12, 2017 Not really sure. That car spent very little time on the dyno. It was always good at compensating for more boost so once it looked good on springs we'd go to the track. At PGD, Jason just turned it up until we earned the Fastest Pass jacket... Lambofan35 Report post Posted May 13, 2017 This one will be interesting but for 93 octane, viper is money probably. For e85, anything under the sun GTR probably.

Speed Syndicate Report post Posted May 15, 2017 Event went really well. Fueling was smooth and competition was tight. Was nice to see the format with allowing meth worked out as planned too. Allowing meth did not de-stablize the playing field one bit. Some of the UR cars that came out are below and they had a great time. Sebastian, Dan, JC, Mark, and Matt it was great hanging out at the event and hotel bar with yall.
Underground Racing Report post Posted May 15, 2017 A few of our stage 3 cars went. No water/meth. Just running 1150 whp in Seafish's orange 2017 R8 and Dan's LP 560. We might take some weapons to the next pump gas race if the customers are interested in taking some big builds out to compete. I would have loved having one of the X version Huracans out there to play.

utahviper Report post Posted May 17, 2017 1600 whp on pump gas is crazy! I can't believe he hit 190 mph on pump. It wasn't long ago and mid 190's won TI. The speeds are just insane.

Are we talking a Viper that made 1600 on pump? By pump do we mean traditional 93 octane or e85? If it is 91/93 then holy cow!
