Lakeysha Beard was charged with disorderly conduct after police said she got into a verbal altercation with passengers on the train. The other passengers complained she refused to put down her cellphone, even after train staff made repeated announcements for passengers to not use cellphones, according to police.

When a passenger confronted her about her loud talking, police said Beard got aggressive. She had reportedly been talking non-stop on the phone since getting on the train in Oakland, Calif.

Beard was taken into custody until a family member could come and pick her up.

Yeah I was grinding my teeth at this nonsense after it went viral earlier in the week...so frustrating to see the continuous breakdown in the decency levels as time passes.

If people are this self-important and falsely entitled now, what will it be like when we're old in 30-40 years?

Society is a nightmare. Let's pool our money and buy an island. :icon_mrgreen:

Where were those cops today when the obnoxiously loud woman in the room next door wouldn't keep her loud mouth shut while I was getting a massage and trying to relax??

Allan's wish has come true.

Should just lock those fuckers up..

Thought I am kind of curious, what kind of a cell phone lasts 16 hours! Standby time on that thing must be amazing.

I think the article mentioned that there are charging facilities in the train.

My HTC evo barely has 16 minutes of talk time. I'd like to know what kind of phone she had. Nice battery life.

Encountered a spanish speaking lady talking on her cell phone very loud the whole time I was at Barnes and Noble, I wanted so bad to grab her phone and chuck it.

Dude, don't have to be that rude. just need a cellular frequency blocker to totally disable her phone call, and then she would be helpless. I obtained a cell phone jammer from the internet and have used it to keep those annoying people from distracting me in movies.
