  1. I tried putting a cucumber in an area where I didn't want my cat to get in to (after seeing the video) He couldn't care less. I think anything that "sneaks up" behind a cat while they are eating would startle them. I know there aren't many cat fans out there, but it still seems a little cruel.
  2. Early 2000's Pontiac grand am ?

  4. Nut-scape photography. Not to be confused with Man-scaping. I on the other hand was confused if this was LOL or WTF... http://metro.co.uk/2015/10/27/men-are-taki...scapes-5465223/ NSFW
  5. The FDA estimates that as many as 20,000 people die each year from NSAIDs (acetaminophen , aspirin, ibuprofen) . http://www.answers.com/Q/How_many_people_d...in_US_each_year 59 will die from V-dub pollution? Meh.
  6. Replace the cap. I see it all the time with the manufacturer I work for.
  7. I'm doing a quick overnight. Staying at Mandalay the night of the 4th.
  8. I suppose its better than how the front view would work....
  9. Any one know where I can buy a cheap island?
  10. Of course not. I value what you have written. I also agree that bottling and shutting out emotions is very unhealthy. Appropriate outlets and assigning a value to anger is key. I differ in than when a 2-3 year old is having a melt down in a grocerey store and the parent calmly responds with "yes, I can see you are upset and its ok". There is not enough action/reaction for them to choose differntly on how they react the next time they encounter a similar situation. I was raised at very early age that I always have a choice. If I make a good choice a good outcome usually comes with it. If I chose to behave badly, bad things would usually come with it. It works for me. If your way works (and it must, otherwise you wouldn't be passionate about it) I certainly respect you for it. I will tell you that I have never seen more misbehaved kids now than ever. I fear too many will grow up in to monsters.
  11. How about early childhood discipline? At an early age most of us over 40 learned that if we didn't keep our emotions in check (ie throwing a tantrum) Mom and Dad would do it for us. Whether it was a big swat on the butt or my room was cleared out of every form of entertainment. I quickly learned to keep my frustraitions from overwhelming me. That skill obviously carried in to young adulthood and later in life.
  12. You called it RD Now it is almost full circle. The last piece of the puzzle will be when she scams the people's donations and keeps the money raised.
  13. RD, Is there any kind of disclaimer (no matter how well written) that a person with a PHD could do this to a patient and not face criminal charges? I just can't comprehend a human being who has a dedicated career to help people doing this as a form of treatment/therapy.
  14. Plus all the disability funds she will end up applying for. Gee, I wonder who ends up paying for that??
  15. Agreed. My point was more about the mindset of the attacker though.
  16. 2 things jumped out at me. 1st, the bail seemed low for a flight risk. 2nd, forcing a woman to perform oral sex seems awfully risky for the man. All she needs to do is bite! Again, as I stated earlier, I'm probably wrong but stranger things have happened. As far as blaming the victim? Of course not. I would never subscribe to the notion that "she was asking for it" As discussed in a different post, ultra wealthy are often targets of extortion. I was offering a different plausible scenario.
  17. How about an alternative theory? She saw an easy (read rich and foreign) target, went along until the right moment came and faked buyers remorse. Reminds me of scenes in that movie "gone girl" I know I'm probably wrong, but just sayin'....
  18. Whew... I could only imagine the "pucker factor" with basically have to relearn to drive in a cool/baller car like that.
  19. Pardon the ignorant question, but rh or lh drive? What side of the road do they drive on there?
  20. Although this is probably the dumbest thing you will see all day, it makes a point that diesel emissions are much less harmful than gasoline. Even a clean running gasoline car can kill you from CO poisining.
  21. Although I have never stuck my nose under one on these V-dubs, I can't imagine they don't already have some sort of DPF/cat already. I think the whole scam was to have the car make more HP and TQ from a smaller engine. That is VERY easy to do with turbo diesels. Dump more fuel and make more boost. When the car was tuned (or detuned in this case ) to meet EPA regulations it was probably gutless. These big diesel truck guys can add 100 hp and 250 tq simply from a computer tune and no other modifications.
  22. Reflashing diesel engne computers has been around for a long time. Unlike gasoline engines, diesels will make more power simply by injecting more fuel in to the combustion chamber with little regard for the air/fuel ratio. Most diesel truck guys just remove these "tunes" before going through emmisions, and return them after they pass. The idea that the engine computer reverts back to an enviromentally friendly "tune" when the emmisions diagnostic scanner is plugged in is not a far jump. I am not an expert on this (disclaimer), but many experts feel that the soot coming out of a diesel is not nearly as bad for the enviroment than a gasoline engine. Visual impressions may suggest otherwise though LOL
  23. I ran across this company while looking for low profile oval exhaust tubing for a custom car build. http://www.drgas.com/ The products look a little less than exotic, but ooohhh man some of the sounds those cars make. Check out some of the videos. Here is one of my faves (even though it is an *f-car*)
  24. My biggest fear would be kidnapping and extortion.
  25. Back to the original question, wouldn't the lack of all wheel drive thow an ABS code or even activating the ABS?
