  1. How many U.S. cars are we down to now?
  2. I'm late to the party. Congrats! Any SV is amazing but this color just sets it off!
  3. Yeah, but it is the "easy way out" for the shooter. Go out in a blaze of self-assigned glory and let the Int3rwebz rejoice I guess.
  4. I guess before the Internet these sorts of people had to work a bit harder to find each other. A sad, unintended consequence of global connectivity.
  5. Lest the facts get in the way of the "gun problem" posts to come, I'll leave this here: Violent Crime Down in the US The short version is that murder and violent crime is down over the last 20+ years (roughly the same period when concealed carry laws swept the nation, but I'm sure that is coincidental...right?)
  6. Happy belated, RD! I hope your day was full of guns, whiskey, and relaxation.
  7. Big congrats, like I said earlier, this is one hell of an appetizer! Now, what do we need to do to get you to Columbus? We're doing drives before most of the meets now and we had eight Lamborghinis at our last meet...join and make it nine!
  8. This is the Italian Gathering which is not run by Columbus Cars and Coffee although many of our members participate in the show. The show benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (Dave Thomas of Wendy's). It was a great event this year! Valentino Balboni made his first appearance in Columbus that I'm aware of.
  9. Regarding the POV, I keep hearing about situational awareness. Sure, when you're live on TV you're not thinking as much about your surroundings, but it's a good reminder that we all need to pay attention. Check your 6. Watch out for your friends. Make sure you know where the exit is located. These simple things can save your life.
  10. I refuse to watch the POV video from the shooter but it's making the rounds. Pretty grim stuff. Anyone watched?
  11. Possible motive; racial complaints after being fired... From Washington Post: "On the air Wednesday, WDBJ’s general manager, Jeff Marks, said that after months of disruptive behavior, Flanagan was fired and ushered out of the station by police. Flanagan “did not take that well,” Marks told viewers. “Vesper was an unhappy man,” the general manager said. “We employed him as a reporter, and he had some talent in that respect, and some experience, although he had been out of the business for a while when we hired him here. He quickly became – gathered a reputation as someone who was difficult to work with … “He was sort of looking out for people to say things that he could take offense to,” Marks recalled. “And eventually, after many incidents of his anger coming to the fore, we dismissed him. And he did not take that well. We had to call the police to escort him from the building. “Since then –well, he then filed an action with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, in which he made all kinds of complaints. And there may have been one about Alison and/or Adam – I frankly don’t remember – but about members of the staff making racial comments. He was African American. And none of them could be corroborated by anyone. We think they were fabricated. “But just as an insurance policy,” Marks said, “we went about and talked to all of our employees who had been able to be exposed to this. And we have a pretty diverse workplace. And we got nothing about that. And the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission dismissed the claim out of hand. And that was that."
  12. Reports that the shooter survived his self-inflicted GSW? Edit: Nope, pronounced dead. Edit Edit: He did survive it but not for very long.
  13. Wow, very sad! RIP.
  14. Love both cars! You gents should come visit us in Columbus some time. We've got a nice exotics-focused Cars and Coffee each month.
  15. OK, I own a production company, I've been doing it for 11 years. A lot of our projects involve real estate to one extent or another. This video was WAY overpriced. Granted, casting and talent fees cost money, as do the rights to use the song, but I could produce similar results for $20k. I would have chosen a royalty-free hip-hop track from our enormous library of music and maybe cut back on the casting and focused more on the house itself, showing shots of people in the rooms here and there. Still, I love the use of video to market a property, enough of the stupid 360-degree views and amateur photos!
  16. Congratulations on a stunning car! I hope you will post some G vs. A comparisons for us as you get used to the big V12!
  17. Edit: here is the link I posted in the other thread. http://jordanshiraki.com/lamborghini-sv-roadster/
  18. A little more info from Jordan here: http://jordanshiraki.com/lamborghini-sv-roadster/
  19. I do not think it is a render. Jordan has had exclusive access to Lamborghini products in the past, including the Urus concept which he photographed at Pebble Beach. If anyone is getting a first shot at photographing this car, it's probably him. He said he will post a behind-the-scenes on his blog tomorrow so I guess we'll find out then.
  20. Exciting stuff, look forward to seeing the product working in person and in additional videos!

What is less convenient? Not opening peanuts or an emergency landing at some airport you did not want to go to because someone is going into shock and can't be stabilized? Now the turning off our cellphones thing on the other hand...
  22. Congrats! I've got my keychain ready too, I'm glad I am not the only one who has had that plan, and it's awesome to see it become reality for you! The white/red is a great combo, enjoy it!
