  1. Great write up! I have too many cars Who wants to take my 2019 White Urus off my hands? NJ
  2. Thanks for chipping in. Our goal would be to have it look as good as new. Pretty sure we could do that, within some budget (break even when we sell it someday). Worst case we need to dump a new engine in there. All our current cars are salvage cars, both personal and business. We are happy when we find a car well restored and the stigma doesn't bother us. Sitting on the fence with this one. Would love to get a copy of the insurance adjusters report. Always thought I wasn't a gambler but maybe that's not true.
  3. This idea enters my head once or twice a year, then we always get cold feet. Probably with good reason based on horror stories we've witnessed about people buying banged up cars at auction. But someone out there has to have good experiences, and maybe someone knows this car and what happened to it? How do you contact the last owner of a car that goes to salvage auction??
  4. Hi, we are in the market for a salvage Gallardo for a shop project car to keep techs busy. This '08 Gallardo looks like a good candidate, was wondering if anyone knows any stories about the car. It was last owned in GA I believe. Also, interested in hearing any valuable insights about purchasing wrecked lamborghinis from a salvage auction. I would love to have a Lambo in our stable and buying a salvage car would appear to be the way to kill 2 birds with one stone. Thanks! ZHWGU22T88LA07613
  5. Wow, thanks! Forwarding. I wish we could be there....we are going to a big 'Driven by Purpose' Toys4Tots rally to a gokart place in Jersey City on Dec 6. After that I think events are over until Spring for the NE while we shovel and wait for salt to wash off. Florida sounds pretty good around this time of year! Here's the link for the Jersey City event. It will probably be huge! http://shoutout.wix.com/so/6L3nIGnt#/main
  6. Guys, really appreciate the responses. Sent them on to Dave, who I encouraged to join up here for help maintaining his beautiful classic Lambo. Wil's comment 'I was working on these cars when they were new, most young guys at dealerships hadn't even been born yet'. Not slagging off young guys at all, but dealerships sell cars or provide service for their customers who buy new, whereas good independents occupy a whole other niche and tend to be respectful of the classics. IMHO
  7. I'll encourage our client to join up here and find out where local Countach owners go. There must be an Orlando C&C for Lamborghini owners, too? I doubt most Lamborghini dealerships would jump for joy if a Countach pulled in for service.
  8. So I guess Fields Motorcars Orlando is the place to go. The only place to go by the looks of it. Or TeeTruss. Any place else?
  9. Thanks! We've been in business over 35 years so this shop is the result of a lifelong passion. After 30 years working under our house we finally expanded to a new shop in 2010. We are very proud of everything that happens under our roof and we are ONLY interested in passionate mechanics. No wannabes or babies. Top experience only, the best.
  10. Are you a seriously expert Lamborghini mechanic? Do you want a job at the best Lamborghini shop in the northeast (NJ)? Are you perhaps living far from NJ and now sick of water shortages, mud slides, tornadoes, lack of beach, distance from NYC and the best exotic car community in the world...we have all that, maybe you should relocate. We need to hear from you! Please PM your resume. You may check our or website, Exoticars USA, or call or email or PM or Facebook or drop on our shop or any old way you'd like to start a conversation. We service Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, and other marques that fall under the umbrella 'exotic', so if you like variety, have restoration skills, and/or have the latest skills, you'd be welcome. (Admins, please feel free to spank me if this is the wrong forum to post a help wanted ad)
  11. Hi FL Lambo people, we have a Countach customer who is moving to Orlando this month. Looking for help referring him to THE BEST shop in the area for taking care of his Lamborghini after he spent a pile of $$$ getting her back on the road after a (very) long sleep. We anticipate the car may be only 99% 'there' when it leaves our shop and want to minimize any negative impact on the thrill he's going to experience after looking at his Countach in the garage for 15 years. Your honest, unbiased input is much appreciated! Please post or PM, many thanks in advance!
  12. If you are a top notch tech experienced with Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati we'd like to hear from you. Must have experience, talent and passion. Exoticars USA, Milford, NJ
  13. Really, we're harmless and mean well, only here to help. We don't even own guns! It is so cool that you own a car with such provenance. And now it has even more! Enjoy, enjoy, Happy holidays Allan
  14. Very nice! and looks like a neat, nimble blast to drive.
