  1. Unless it has a ton of miles it's probably out of my price range. Budget tops out at $60k.
  2. I don't believe they made the LP570 in 2009...perhaps you meant a LP550 or 560?

  4. No heat shield here and never had an issue. Bumper is currently off for mods also and no signs of heat damage.
  5. Is that due to the trans? Or any other reasons? Curious so I can apply the logic toward other GTRs that are also listed for sale.
  6. Big picture...do you think the stock trans is a big issue? I'd have the Nissan dealership pull the computer data on launches, history, etc.
  7. Eyeballing a 2010 GTR that's for sale locally to me. Black w/orange wrap. 27xxx miles. I test drove it today. Pulls hard, pretty addicting. In my research it looks like the only thing it's really missing is the fuel pump basket to make it easier to change the fuel filter after running lots of E85. He got it with the wrap on it, and previous owner rated the black paint as a 7.5/10 under the wrap. He doesn't have any of the stock parts, but that doesn't really bother me too much. What else should I be looking for? Any concerns?
  8. You should not hold that against him. That was obviously made under duress. It's pretty easy to figure out that none of the POWs there recieved lenient treatment or proper medical attention. For all we know, it is most likely that they would have executed another POW if he didn't make that recording.
  9. Aaaand more bad luck...some mis-alligned holes in the wing from the factory. And the lip spoiler is way too tight and will not fit with the current wing mounts. Waiting to hear back from the manufacturer on their thoughts. But the parts look really good, yet dusty, on the car: Issue: Hard to tell but the holes are drilled too high up on the mounting portion of the wing. So the hardware is hitting the outside part of the wing and the bolt wont go all the way through. I really don't want to drill another hole or wallow out the existing one since I am worried about compromising the strength of the part since there will be a lot of pressure on that hole. And then there is this douche. He thinks he is so cool...
  10. lol. I needed an LP "rear cross member" to mount the wing to. The pre-LP has a much smaller piece so I found a guy parting out a totaled LP and got it. Sadly, it wasn't orange...but it will eventually get painted. Just in there right now for the test fit.
  11. Finally got this stupid part figured out...test fitting:
  12. I hope it isn't a Corvette. Brand it a Caddy or call it something else...but they will burn so many bridges calling it a POS. And I agree with kinnsella that them pricing it far above current levels will not go well and quickly follow the financial boondoggle that was/is the Viper.
  13. This guy thinks he can just cut in front of me because he has turbos... And might as well tint the tail lights while we are at it...
  14. Agree with Salamone...Lamborghini needs to cut down the 10 year production cycle. Meanwhile, Ferrari pumps out a major new car every 5 years it seems, not just a face lift.
  15. Anyone ever gotten a spot on color match of AB with a wrap? I am debating about painting my winglets vs wrapping it body color. I'd much prefer the wrap so if I ever decide to sell the STS kit I can peel it off and it will be the original carbon fiber. Googling hasn't turned up much besides some dead links to a company called Icon. Avery says they can color match anything so I have an email in with them, but I would love to hear from anyone with first hand experience. Thanks! And picture for attention:
  16. I'd like to think it has gone to a good home.
  17. So I'm pretty dense when it comes to the EU...but without Germany basically having it's shit together wouldn't the EU pretty much be a failed concept? I was reading that there are more countries dragging the Euro down than propping it up (ie: Greece, Spain, etc). Thoughts? Definitely gonna read that book! Thanks for the suggestion.
  18. The bonnet doesn't really "open" at all. It basically just pops off. The front is where it latches and they are quick release racing type locks and the back is just basically wedged in from what I can tell.
  19. Nothing at this time. I'm not really a big interior person...maybe if I find someone unloading a complete CF interior I'd consider snatching it up, but otherwise I'm fairly satisfied with OEM. Besides, I already have the most important interior option:
  20. Thanks for the kind words everyone! MSRP is $7280 and David at SP Engineering beat that price by a decent margin. I don't want to say exactly how much because I'm pretty sure he can't post it publicly, but I'd shoot him a PM if you're interested. And his customer service in dealing with the cracked original bonnet was amazing. I can't say enough good things about him and the shop. Do you know if he used OEM STS bonnet brackets? I have those in hand and was hoping it was going to line up. I purchased the ones on the left of this image as well as the AeroCatch quick release latches which is the same brand as OEM: I'd love to chat with your buddy if he is on this site.
