  1. Honestly none of these are going to appreciate - there were just too many made and not different enough even in the limited variations to matter. The perfect example of this is one of the rarest versions of the Aventador (and arguably one of the most beautiful) - the 50th. So few cars ended up here in the US but the prices on them are around 60% of what they were new. There was one at Mecum with only 100 miles that still saw that discount just a few months ago. That said - the rarer cars ARE buys now that they have pretty much hit a floor in terms of depreciation - I think you can buy and drive them with very little more to lose as the cars below it insulate the price.

There are a few potentially cool final editions coming out before the V12 replacement. Will be really interesting to see how far they go in utilizing this platform with so many people anxious for the next one.

If you look at Lamborghini's history, an evolution S does make sense.  The LP670-4 SV of the Murci series was the only exception.  And that was kind of weird too as only 186 out of the planned 350 were built.  Look at the Diablo, the 6.0SE may be the last and the best-built of the Diablo series but it was not the most extreme version.  Neither was the final model of the Gallardo.  From a business POV, building the most extreme version as a departing model is too risky:  A) Investing more R&D to create the most extreme version of a departing model does not make sense.  B ) To build the most extreme version, it likely needs to be re-certified by various authorities.  Time and funding would likely make that counterintuitive.  C) As you have said, plenty of SVJ owners are going to be ticked off (900 coupes + 800 roadsters + 63 SVJ63 coupes + 63 SVJ63 roadsters + 10 SVJ Xago edition) and these are the top-end clients (over 1800 of them).  D) Don't forget the Sian coupe & roadster owners too.  These people paid multi-million for their cars under the impression that it's the best & fastest road-legal Lambo ever (true enthusiasts knew what their real-world performance is).   For Lamborghini to officially acknowledge that their obsolete-tech Sian has been out-performed by a series-production model, that's marketing suicide.  E) The same holds true for the Essenza SCV12.  No owner of this track-only car would want to see a road-legal model edging up to the specs/performance of their cars.  Hence, it would only make sense to play it safe by tweaking an existing non-limited production model just a bit and slot it between the S and the SVJ as a final departing model.  Of course, the irony could be that this last model would have less than 800 units built so it could be more rare than a SVJ roadster.   But as aforesaid, now that Winkelmann is back, perhaps there will be more L.E. Av's to come before it is replaced.  But I doubt any would out-spec/perform the SVJ.

I don't know if what your have heard is the same as what is depicted above though.  There is suppose to be another Aventador-based commemorative model to be announced.

I had just been thinking the same thing about the Diablo line and I agree with you that it makes sense there - my reason for thinking a more hardcore variant is that the Sian is more hypercar level in terms of perception - many of the newer Aventadors probably outperform the Veneno but I’d still take one any day - If I were Lamborghini that’s how I’d justify a more hardcore variant for the finale. Considering they don’t even make the S anymore it just seems so strange to bring it back as a farewell version when they have to know V12 owners are the group that always wants the latest and greatest. Who would a less than SVJ model attract? I don’t see many people trading in their SVJ for a car that isn’t as good, so where do the buyers come from?

I had heard the car is getting unveiled q3 2021 with deliveries starting right before the replacement unveiling in 2022. I think that factory picture could definitely have something to do with it, you don’t build new body panels like that for nothing. The wide open engine bonnet is what makes me think hardcore.

Are there any Xago’s left? Curious how those stickered out compared to the 63 roadsters.

    alpha6164 is correct.

Not sure about the SVJ's but absolutely about the SVJ63 roadsters.  According to the factory, only 1 SVJ63r can be build per week!  I was given the choice on a March or June build.

Agreed that the new flagship won't be out in 2021.  They still have to finish the SVJ roadsters, the Sian coupe & roadsters and the Xago.  Only then can they refit the production line for the new car.  And with Winkelmann now at helm again, who knows if there will be another 5 AV editions or not?  There is a rumour of an evolution model of the Aventador S being the swan song of the AV-series.

My question is why would they use a variant of the S as the swan song to the v12? That’s a huge deal and it makes way more sense for it to be the most hardcore variant of the v12 given what it’s celebrating. However, that’s going to upset a lot of SVJ owners. Fwiw I’ve heard about the car too - was about to order an SVJ roadster but now it’s making me think I’d rather get this final edition. I’m guessing GT / GTR variant.

Love it and black accents really transforms the look of the SVJ. Reminds me of rana65556's SVJ.

the stripe and blackout of the rear are really necessary to have it look completed imo

    but better.

how did you do the tyre markings?

thanks! Tirestickers.com did them for me locally here, was $350 if I recall correctly.

    Absolutely mental..are you running 21/22's?

nope these are the stock wheels, 20/21 - I think the tire stickers just accentuate the size and make them look considerably bigger. Usually not a tire sticker guy but these were perfect to break up the green and black.

Stunning--I agree, it would have been awesome to get it all from factory but hey, at least it is reversible.  Congrats again!

Agreed - thought the same thing! The car was a looker already but with these changes it breaks necks - so interesting how little details can make it look that much better.

Looks epic.  Can you post more pix and what areas did you wrap black?  I cant tell what is carbon and what i not. Looks sexy AF regardless

Here's a post with more angles from PFS, along with one from my 'car stuff' IG so you can see what it looked like before. This car has every single CF option possible (other than the center caps, that looks weird to me on black wheels) so up close its still a nice contrast on the rear bumper as the black now meets the massive rear splitter thats fully CF, the sides where the bottom rocker is CF meet black below the door and the front is wrapped with the painted pieces black now as well - basically think of it exactly like the bottom half of a 63 livery, with a green stripe instead of gold.

  6. Tried ordering the car like this from factory but they told me I couldn't have the first delivery. Found out about STEK's black PPF and did it over the suntek wrap I already have on the car. Turned out perfect, absolutely love the way it looks now. Verde Themis FTW.

So what's the fix for the tint getting scratched? Is there a screw or something that needs to be trimmed down?

Yep, have the dealer take the door cards out and grind it down, it'll be fine. I'd have them felt edges at the same time before they put them back on, honestly makes a big difference in speaker sound quality imo

Thanks again everyone. Car is in wrap shop now getting a Suntek Clear film. I ordered the valve controller for the exhaust.

Has anyone here swapped side markers on an Aventador? Would like to swap for clear ones, but sure if they are a pain in the ass to remove.

Is there still an issue with tint getting scratched from something inside the door assembly or was that only on early Aventadors?

dude, congratulations! I did suntek on mine, really like it a lot. I think it's clearer than xpel ultimate but it may just be that i have a lighter color now compared to the xpel on my monterey blue 640.

Would also love to know if side markers are easy to swap, I'd do it as well. I don't think you'll be happy with the valve switch, i did that then just went to Brooke race exhaust - sounds the same but just as loud as you would have hoped it'd be with the factory sound. Here's a good drive - by clip:

yes, still the issue of the tint getting scratched. I'd have them wrap the CF door cards with felt as well, mine vibrated from the speakers til they did that.

  9. What Bugatti is doing is interesting to me as I've heard you'll lose a fair amount on a standard Chiron - I can't imagine some of their special editions won't do better as the bodywork is substantially different and they are even more limited.

I don't know if it's social media or what but it seems like everyone has an exotic now days. I think super rare coach building is the only option these brands really have left in order to capture the excitement in such a small market of customers who can actually afford it.

  10. I contacted them, I would have bought it at $600k. That's easily a $700k spec car here in the US. Importing from Canada to the US means you lose all warranty and option for one and pay a 6.1% import tax. Still less than buying it here (even with an aftermarket warranty) but you will also lose more when it comes time to sell here, I believe they are called gray market cars here.

Dude this is a nearly identical spec to mine (from what I can tell) in roadster form. Only difference is the interior - I did the SVJ XXX stitching instead of the S details on the seat and dash. How is it only $790k CAD? Just the AP options for the color alone make it more expensive than that.

Had that same setup on the LP640 with Fabspeed minus primaries & secondaries.  Super nice at WOT, but stinks like shit.  After awhile, the droning gets really annoying and becomes stupid loud.  Maybe I'm getting old.  Good luck.

LOL I felt the EXACT same way - was even worse in a roadster. I had full catless LOC and actually put the secondaries back in to get rid of some of the smell.

APB: it’s all good.  I also concur to your analysis.  Let’s hope the AC motor will perform as it was meant to be.  Although I must say I am not holding my breath on this.  And there are already rumours leaking from staffs of Lambo SpA that the next flagship will indeed have a DCT.

Unotaz: wow, that pic is indeed disappointing.  I guess it is treated as a prototype and hence the lack of quality.  Supposedly, Lambo is really picky about the CF quality.  The top air inlets/scoops on each side of the engine cover in CF is suppose to have a QC rejection rate of 1 in 3.  Clearly your pic has proven otherwise.

Apparently, the one-off department is suppose to be a lot more creative/adventurous than that SC-18 Alston unveiled last year.  During a chat at an unveiling event, one of the Lambo top-brass said the owner went cold feet when he was presented the budget for an all-out restyling and opted to choose a mild derivative of the standard Aventador instead.  That’s too bad if it’s true.  Although I can’t get over the fact that it’s still more or less an Aventador underneath.

@VCR have you heard anything about whether or not they’ll use the same CF tub from the Aventador for its replacement?
