  1. Just went and saw it, what a beast! The side vents are enormous and the rear of the car is insane. Side note - if you are even remotely tall, the buckets are just not doable. Going back to the comfort seats in another coupe made me feel like I was in a Caddy.
  2. @Unotaz What color did you order and when will it arrive? I did Verde Themis with some Ad Personam exterior / interior changes, have been told it's possible mine may be here before Christmas. Apparently they still haven't locked orders and started production yet though so that's probably wishful thinking.
  3. Totally agree - they have always been peacocks. The porsche reference is actually very true, I never thought of it that way before. The only difference I'd say though is that they make them so hard to get - but maybe that's a sort of chicken and egg thing where the better performance drove demand which reduced supply, etc. Given it's price bracket though, it's hard to compare them to a $200k Porsche - I see them more like in Senna or 918 territory. The problem is that those are real single variant cars vs modified versions of mass produced ones.
  4. This is honestly one of the most spot on posts here. It's impossible to compare something like an f40 to a special edition Aventador, no matter how good this variation ends up being. I feel like the one thing Lambo is missing is that those of us willing to write the check for a car with that sort of price tag expect more exclusivity, not just lap time performance. The V12s have always been peacock cars, I have to believe Lambo knows that. If that's your audience, it'd make sense to make more limited, truly special pieces than just revamp a 6 yr old design. Personally I'm kind of bummed out - I really wanted to like this car and was stoked to be first on the list for an allocation. It felt special because I had been told 185 cars. At 900 cars plus a special edition of that, it's sort of left me feeling meh about it all together. At this point I feel like I'd rather just wait til the next model, even though they'll pump out even more of them, as it'll be unique for the first year or two. Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade that's getting one, I'm sure it'll still be a fantastic car.
  5. Oh man! Love the pictures Joey, thanks for the kind words! Was great working with you as well - really happy it stayed in the Lambo family.
  6. I’ve always though GM should start building a hyper car out of Cadillac, not Chevy. That brand could be so cool if they would just make some of their concepts instead of continuing to produce these weird baby boomer sedans that all look the same. Seriously, I would still buy a Cadillac Sixteen today.. and it’s a 15 yr old concept!
  7. LamboCARS these are phenomenal renders - would you mind doing a render of a Monterey Blue coupe with gold wheels for me? Wondering if we can make a bit more of the front lip with color similar to what the SV has rather than all black. Thank you!
  8. Very curious what you heard numbers wise - my dealer told me they are only getting their factory spec car plus 3 coupes. Not sure on roadsters as my allocation is on the coupe. I keep hearing conflicting info both ways - I guess the only route to find out for sure is wait for the release at Pebble.
  9. Has anyone confirmed if this is actually going to be limited yet or is it still up in the air? I need to confirm my order but don't know if I want to if there's a 'swan song' AV coming out next.
  10. Haha I thought that as well but she texted me at the grocery store today saying how much easier it was with the X than the Range (which she's back in now). It's definitely not the prettiest car but honestly the more I drove it the more I was just impressed with how simple it was to get in and go. I'm thinking I'll get one and she can keep the Range then we'll see what really gets used more and go from there. I have to agree - the range anxiety when renting was magnified even more as my parent's home didnt have a wall charger so I'd have to go find a super charger every time I wanted to charge it. Having it at my own home where I can charge it every night I feel should be a fine solution there. The speed of the S is absurd but I found I really appreciated the extra details of the X more than anything. With kids, the doors in the back are actually amazing for getting to them without much issue. Getting back into my Range definitely felt more exclusive but I'm not sure it was enough to a con that made me shy away from the X - all black exterior with white interior really is a cool color combo and the seats were very resilient. We're looking at getting a 6 seater so it would end up sacrificing a bit of storage space when compared to the fold down row in the Range but to be honest I think I'd just buy a cheap pickup if I found myself moving much. Travel wise if fit everything we'd pack as a family of 4 for a two week vacation just fine, I was super impressed. That storage space under the floor in the back is massive!
  11. This is honestly what I figured as soon as I heard they wouldn't be numbered. Tons of hype but there is still a swan song coming - crazy to me they would use the JOTA name but not have it be the ultimate.
  12. Rented a Model X P90D over the weekend while visiting family in Michigan and I have to say I am beyond impressed. It's one thing to go for a test drive and experience the absurd acceleration but it wasn't until I used it continuously for a few days that I realized how good it truly is. Honestly blown away. The doors opening as you walk up and closing once you get in - the sheer ease of maneuvering it into parking spaces - the insane visibility with the huge windshield, the autopilot, the Slacker radio setup, voice control, easiest nav I have ever used, massive amount of storage space, safety for kids, etc etc.. honestly it felt like the car was made by people creating the car they wish had existed. That, to me, is the way things should always be designed. Has anyone else used one as a daily driver? Would love to know if I am missing anything here or if it's really as good as it seemed to be.
  13. That was a great post Darth Sidious - I never thought about the last hoorah car being a big deal until the news that the SVJ would not be limited. If that truly is the case I have a feeling that a lot of people with deposits on the SVJ will hold off. The SVJ is obviously a great car but judging from the responses of the brands biggest raving fans (the members on this forum) we don't just want performance, we want exclusivity. To make an 'unlimited' amount with a totally new flagship car looming just seems poorly thought out.
  14. Interesting - did anyone else notice the spoiler is weave, not forged CF? Look close, ignore the reflection of the camo.
  15. I wonder what that line on the top of the side vent is? Could the side vents have ALA?
  16. They are allowing ad personam but there are 6 'dealer spec' colors that they could choose from for their first car. The first customer specced cars will be delivered a few months later.
  17. I agree with this - the biggest similarity between Lambo and Ferrari is price and the country they're produced in. Even then, the V12s are on different ends of the spectrum - One is a peacock spaceship, the other is a grand tourer. Will be very interesting to see how this plays out with a Performante level update to the flagship Lambo. The S is already a significant improvement to the 700, I can't wait to see how good the J will be. Side note, I heard you'll be able to spec your SVJ allocation at Quail. Wish I could make it!
  18. Latest news I've heard is production # will be nearly the same as the SV and a coupe MSRP will top out just under $600 with options. Early orders should be delivered by Oct-Nov. Anyone care to share what color they are ordering? I'm in between a one - off, Blu Nethuns, Verde Themis or a white / black car with a crazy color interior.
  19. I can't help with the wheels unfortunately but I just watched the video and literally everything you said was so spot on. Getting used to the complete uselessness of the Murci but realizing there's nothing that could replace it made me laugh because it's so true. Congrats on the new car, can't wait to see the finished product. I have always loved Draco as well, stoked to see one in the US.
  20. I actually really wanted one as well but this concerned me a lot since we live in LA. That and I don't think a standard garage door even works for parking this thing inside so I'd be really interested to hear how most people store them.
  21. No need to pay me, happy to help. I can give you a better once over but my best suggestion is to have Scott at Auto Concierge to do a PPI for you. David (Webster123 I think on here) introduced me to him and he's phenomenal. Here's their site, I can PM you his cell if that's easier. https://www.autoconcierge.co/ If you are negotiating with Lambo N LA already just talk to Ron, the manager. He's a good dude.
