  1. That did actually cross my mind when I wrote it !
  2. For countries with bad normal roads maybe
  3. Could be caused by stone chips or a bad previous refurb, a lot of the diamond cut & polished and then lacquered wheels seem to do this though
  4. Quite Old news, after a dealer event, egged on by the wannabe you tubers, had done it a couple or times already in very silly locations and was lucky it didn’t end worse. Nice guy got carried away, nor experienced, cold tyres and a bit of stupidity Same event reminded me to never attend public events, one guy got repeatedly called a cunt in front of his small child in a roadster for not revving. General public are not nice and have no respect
  5. Baby wipes, lots of them bring it back to almost new looking, it's just dirt as far as I can tell on my SV that was looking real bad after a lot of miles and dealer tech putting oily/dirty hands all over it at service so spent 5 mins cleaning it with wipes and now it looks great again. Went for leather on J, doesn’t look as cool but nicer to hold if it’s hot, but not much in it really. Would probably do alcantara if doing again.
  6. Not sure if you are looking for comments? Black rockers look better imo if you have shiny black on intakes and splitter as it matches, low down you really can't see carbon unless you bend down. I have black if you want a pic and have pics next to cf as a comparison Personally i would skip the cf centre caps as well you just cant see them I also wouldn't take the travel or light pack as you still get nets behind the seats without and its basically useless. Light pack is personal, i hardly ever use the car at night so not for me Also you cannot see anything inside the engine bay without removing the lid so internal cf details area little wasted imo Only other thing is the perforated leather steering wheel may look slightly odd with the Alcantara. Smooth sort of matches the smooth alcantara better if not going alcantara all around, i googled lots of SV pics before choosing, normally perforated would be my choice though.
  7. Nice, best bit of advice is you can get a massive amount of extra fuel into Aventadors by pulling the fuel nozzle right to the top. Makes a huge difference to how far you can go especially on road trips. It’s nearly 20% extra fuel even when it says its full on the gauge
  8. Talking to a couple of factory engineers recently who were saying all engines basically the same and that they all run 800+ and are then detuned from there
  9. Few more pics, J’s are Blu Nethuns, Rosso Bia, Giallo Tenerife and Verde Alceo, not the best lighting and but you get the gist
  10. Car is amazing, way better than expected, it properly handles and feels like a big go cart, SV I always feel like I’ve been in a fight with it and it might kill me anywhere near it’s limit when I get out, this one I actually feel I am driving it and it does what I want not the other way round! Plan is is to run them a few months together and get a proper feel of them together then sell one, J is undoubtedly better in almost every way. But has more money to lose and new model will be here in th not that distant future and sadly I’m not rich enough or a keen collector so won’t keep them both. SV feels very special and agricultural and mechanical by comparison and I’m emotionally attached to it so will be a hard one.
  11. Not in Western Europe, corsa standard, p zero no cost option, really no road driver will ever get anywhere near the limit of this car though so better to have the longer lasting all weather ones unless you are a track fiend, you would not know the difference on the road.
  12. I’ll do a proper write up but they are very different you can hardly tell they are related. J is much easier to drive hard and much smoother clutch and generally and just feels a lot more modern. At 8/10ths + they are pretty similar but slow and reasonably quick the J is much nicer to drive and turns in way better and you feel you are in control wheats the SV feels like you are constantly in a fight with it! Picked it up and drove London to Scotland the next day for a car tour so I’m a 1000 miles in so far, great car for twisty fast stuff but a bit big for the small roads. More to follow when I get back in a few days
  13. At long last can I please get a multi title
  14. It was the topaz track day if you want to google the results almost one of everything new run with the same driver, there was a performante it was faster than svj
  15. I misunderstood what you were moaning about, but would agree Emirati’s are entitled and arrogant to all but other Arabs, luckily you don’t run into them very often on holidays.
  16. There is hardly anyone native to Dubai there? Its such a mix of people there is no universal culture, which is a bit odd, the rest is staff training as to how to respond. The only reason its popular is that its not a long or particularly expensive flight from Europe and you are guaranteed beach, good weather and food year round and it looks good in pictures more so than in reality. I like and have been a few times, but expect nothing from it as a holiday except sun and food. The place is manufactured and feels it but if you have kids that's a great thing as you know exactly what you are getting and its all pretty good as its so new. Adults only I'm bored after a few days as its not that interesting.
  17. It’s original muffler but primary cars removed
  18. Looks great, Themis is scandal with glitter? Still can't decide if to do front winglets black, the bit i really want black though is the centre wing upright and the surround like the 63 cars (not the whole engine bonnet though) as the lines just don't flow through otherwise.
  19. Capristo has one on a car already but not released yet. TBH i'm not sure i will do it again it was not much louder just doing the muffler on my SV and the factory race exhaust is somewhere between standard and my Capristo. You really need to take the cats out for it to make a proper difference and i didn't want to do that. I do wonder if Akrapovic will start to supply all Lamborghini factory sports exhausts, they have done Urus and Bentleys, etc as a factory option now so seems logical other models may follow. I'll try and get a vid soon of my SV with Capristo and my SVJ together so you can see the difference.
  20. If it doesn’t get there let’s just go another round or a bit extra from those that did and surely we won’t be far off
  21. Only really reliable hp gain will be raising the Rev limiter which is how Lamborghini generally do their power bumps.
  22. On desktop the unread content icon is a bit small and hard to locate compared to mobile version. Also it you want to mark all as read it is annoying that it doesn’t just do it when clicked but asks you if you are sure every time
  23. Only 800 miles! Wow, what’s the point if owning it for you? Still drives like a dog until it’s got a few thousand on it you are really missing out
  24. You guys are wrong, the colour is hideous, Matt brown/gold is terrible. The very definition of just because you can, doesn’t mean you should, like the earlier paganis!
