  2. If it ever comes near London, i sure i could arrange a few interesting things to have a play with as a comparason. The Henessey Venom also does a lot of testing at Silverstone, they might be up for something as well. It would be nice if you could ask the owner to come and say hi on here and tell us about his experiences.

By hooked up i mean he always seemed slower on to the gas than us but once he floored it and it started to move it was quick, always seemed he got more hesitation than us on downshift, not wheelspin, probably the driver though. He nailed it from standing numerous times no wheelspin at all. I dont launch from standing at all so it was always catch up for us.
  4. I had a extended play, or rather my girlfriend did in the 560 with a supersport with 4 guys in & it was still seriously quick. They are really quick once they hook up, we always let him go first or get the jump but it nearly always took until 100+ to catch him, higher speeds he got blown away though. I have really fancied one ever since but i think the replacement bentley is here next year, which puts me off, normal one @ 600bhp & speed @ 650bhp
  5. Update: 640 wasn't in corsa, how & why i don't know, but that explains the easy pull away. Good news though, the owner is back soon and happy to do a re run. Predictions people? I think it will be pretty close but the 560 by a nose.

As i said i was suprised and still am have to try and find another one to check the experiment, the standardard murci was a different day and very different conditions I had a pretty heavy passenger & he has a very light one was also on a cool evening. Today with the 640 it was very hot if that makes a diffence, perhaps the gallardo keeps cool better? I also had a light passenger and his was a heavier guy.

The car was one of a pack of supercars in convoy heading off on a driving holiday from what i gathered, so i assume it was in good shape to do so, he also seemed to think his car was running at its normal rate and expressed suprise at the result. Could have been full of luggage?, it only seemed a bit quicker than the normal murci (manual + exhaust) that i went out with.
  8. A by chance meeting, thanks to the owner who was happy to have a safe play. I was expecting them to be dead even, both egear but the 560 pulled away in every gear, not just at the gear change. Did 5-6 pulls, same result each time, even with the 640 getting the jump caught him easily. I think the owner was shocked at the speed of the 560, i was also somwhat suprised at the result. Vid shows a brief clip of pulling away from it, is representative of each run which were consistant. Have also run it against a murci which it easily despached.
  9. Always a shock when it happens, he seemed a very good driver, you can be lucky or unlucky, sometimes it really is just fate. RIP, hope no one else was hurt.
  10. Diablo Pete is not Peter Swatton although he has several diablos and lives in the same area and unfortunately shares the same first name.   11. The PET 6R diablo belongs to the fruadster Peter Swatton he is back in court early next year charged with 20 counts of theft. Mr Swatton has already been to prison for the same offence and is a career conman.   13. Resolved, took it to the dealer, its under warranty after all. It was a squashed fluid pipe somewhere, i looked but coudn't see anything before it went in, i assume it must have been under the tub. No fuses blown or pump, but when it was squashed the pump didnt run at all and hence no sound which was the confusing bit.
  14. Congrats both of you guys, two awesome coloured cars. Sprite watch out for the maaahousive speed bumps on the coast road in Torreguadiaro/Sotogrande if you ever go through there, i seriously doubt any supercar will get over them, i was planning on driving down there but since i doubt i could get my car to where my property is or the marina i'm giving it a miss for now.

Thanks for the replies guys, no sound but it was quite quiet originally so hard to tell, pretty sure it must be a fuse, i always use rain x anyway so its no biggie, just hate things not working. I've read the manual and i'm no wiser as to which fuse i'm looking for, anyone care to enlighten me.

Wipers work but no liquid comes out, the dealership has suggested a kinked pipe somwhere under the front tub, its a decent journey to take it to them so if i can sort it myself then it would be good. Pipes at the connections to the nozzles look fine but before i start taking the tub out to look at whats going on under it has anyone else had this or any suggestions as to what to try? Its a 560 if it makes any difference and fluid is full, just worked one day and not the next, is there a fuse maybe?
  17. I've been out in a 458 as a passenger and i reckon its about the same as my 560 in terms of straight-line speed, no idea about corners. Just my non professional initial thoughts guys so don’t read too much in to it: Gear change on the 458 is far superior to the Gallardo, doubt it gains that much over it, but definitely will gain something and it doesn’t unbalance the car like corsa can or try to break your back with a jolt. 458 also feels more connected to the road and less fidgety than the Gallardo. 458 also more comfortable & a lot more room inside cabin. I'm underwhelmed by the 458 looks though, I don't think it's a pretty car, but it may grow on me, everyone else seemed to think it was the best looking Ferrari ever though. To me it looks like a slightly more race car version of the 430, nice but definitely not for me, Gallardo is a much, much better looking car imo. I would say that i think the 458 & Gallardo are going to be very similar in the end result, performance, handling, etc but they go about how they get there very differently, weirdly the Gallardo now seems a brute & 458 more refined. You may well like both but there will be no doubt as to which you prefer as they are completely different. I'm firmly in the Lambo camp still, but I’m sure it’s going to win a few over; it is a cool car & moves the game on.
  18. I look forward to hearing a review when its on, they sound great. But watching a few clips on youtube some don't sound much different to any other aftermarket exhaust, whearas one of the clips does sound more f1 like. It maybe the videos as mine sounds nothing like on video what is really sounds like, but i think you should check with them what sould level gets you what you want as there seems to be 5 levels.

  22. They are in reality remarkably similar in sound & loudness, you probably wouldn't tell them apart as they are both essentually straight pipes with no silencing. I like having the ability to silence mine (Capristo) with the wireless valve controller but if you only ever take it out to drive hard then its a bit of a waste of money as it costs a lot more, i drive mine in loud 90% of the time. I could happily live with the rsc though and i think its a bit of a bargain in comparason, but i personally would still buy the capristo for the reason mentioned above.
