  1. Advice from experience: stick with the factory recommended Pirellis on your Lambo - especially on the AWD models.
  2. Nice work Mark, and as always.. love the LamboCars website!
  3. Wow, it didn't take long for the Spyder version... You have to go where the money is, but I don't care for the rapid release of new models.
  4. Always nice to read a good review of the lamborghini ownership experience, congrats! How many miles on your Aventador now?
  5. Tough call on that blue... I think either would look great! I usually like black, but the silver looks good in those photos.
  6. Make sure the surface is prepped properly... or you will be doing it again. And temperature is important, but if you are in Florida, I doubt you will have those worries. If you call around to contractors that do industrial and commercial buildings, you might find one that would do the small job for cheap for some side work for their guys. The Sherwin Williams commerical floor product is pretty good. If hilos and heavy equipment can drive on it, it will last in your garage. (and the cost is pretty much the same as the cheaper products) I would NOT use the crap they sell at Home Depot - or use one of their installers. (been there, done that)
  7. Fellow Lambo owner has a practice in LA and is very successful. http://www.michael-weinreb.com/
  8. That 6.0 you mention is one of the nicest around...!
  9. Congrats!!!! I am 39 and think about the same things, but chances are it will not happen for me - so in a way I envy your concerns!
  10. During the trip I stopped by the Ferruccio Lamborghini Museo which I HIGHLY recommend for anyone visiting the area! Here is the museo website: www.museolamborghini.com While there I was able to meet Tonino, and Tonino's son Ferruccio Jr., we had a great time sharing Lamborghini stories, and Ferruccio Jr. was a true gentlemen inviting us to climb on the tractors for a photo if we wanted, and even take a look inside Ferruccio's office!
  11. Unless you are driving the hard enough to where the AWD helps, I would make the car 2WD. Remove the VT shafts and diff, and install the SV axle pins. You should also talk to Evans about the upgraded spline shaft for the Diablo VT gearbox. My Diablo was the first in the world to get it. There is a weakness in one of the shafts due to the design - so it is prone to failure. MANY VT owners have just replaced the part over and over.. but there is a fix. When the failure happens, there is a potential to grenade the gearbox due to pieces of hardened metal shaft moving around in the oil.
  12. It's on my list, and I expect to do it within the next few years unless something else comes up that would be more fun. A co-worker at my last job did this in Russia and said it was unreal. The Florida experience might be a good place to start!

I have not, and would never react like this at work... but still, how many of us have felt like this when someone else didn't do their job? Who knows, maybe the prompter was messed up every day that week, and they were pushing him to his boiling point! Maybe some smartass there thought it would be funny to mess with him I have mixed feelings on the guy, but he sure had called it like it was more than a few times. #1 cable news show, hard to believe that they could not pull the reins back on him... but if he was toxic to the work environment as it sounds like he was, it was time for him to go.
  14. Landed this afternoon and drove by the factory, looking great as always! More photos to come throughout the week. It was nice to see that the factory display at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport was remodeled and representing the brand well. In town to see the remodeled museum and visit a number of friends!
  15. Winner is Ron Sylvain of Arizona, Army Reserve and 18 1/2 years of service! (I will post more information once I have it!) Current LP member? If not, we will have to get him on here!
  16. Not to hijack this thread, just a comment on the trailer topic... I had a 24' enclosed trailer for years, measuring between the wheel wells is a must. I moved the inside of the wells in closer to the tires to give more room... made it a TON easier to put a Diablo or Murci in the trailer! Another comment: ANYONE buying a trailer, even if a good name brand... grab a tape measure and evaluate the square-ness of the trailer before you buy it. When you are squeezing a lambo into an enclosed trailer, it needs to be square and straight. Otherwise when pulling in, you have to steer left of right if the trailer is not nice and square. (I have seen this problem with cheap and expensive trailers! They are not dimensionally setup like a modern car is.
  17. http://www.sterlingcollisioncenter.com/ They are authorized by lamborghini, and do awesome work.
  18. Yes, very nice looking car. They went a little far with the chrome, but still a nice job.
