  1. Hey Guys - can anyone recommend a custom home builder in the Cocoa Beach area?
  2. Try these guys in Marina del Rey - http://www.marinasailing.com/instruction.php You can get some lessons and then charter different sail boats to get an idea of what you're looking for. Once you're comfortable head to Catalina for a weekend and try a "buffalo Milk" at the Doug's Harbor reef bar!
  3. This same airframe had an accident at Shanghi Airport a few years back where it's wing hit the tail of an Airbus. Ripped the tip of the 777 wing off apparently doing substantial damage to it. http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=147571
  4. Just freeze your credit with the 3 bureaus and no one can open any accounts period - yes it can be a pain in the ass, but it's easily "unfrozen" for "x" days when you want to apply for credit, and a lot easier than cleaning up your identity.
  5. Thanks guys, I'm going with a bendpak bolted to the floor, just need to find someone to install now
  6. What I'm worried about is it's going to start moving around the garage and damage the other cars in a quake - appreciate the feedback guys.
  7. Thinking of installing a 4 post lift and as I'm in an earthquake prone area (SoCal), I'm curious if you guys bolted your lift to the garage floor or left it free-standing? Guess if it's a really big one, it isn't going to make much difference anyway, but I'm curious as to what the consensus is.
  8. If the NJ Paddock Club price is right then it's a bargain - Singapore was > $8K!
  9. Bizarre twist http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-23...nds-estate.html
  10. There is a pretty amazing documentary on Golden Gate Bridge suicides http://www.thebridge-themovie.com/new/index.html I know 6 or 7 people who have taken their own lives and I could never understand how someone can be in such a dark place in their minds to go through with it until seeing this film.
  11. My last Yellow top went for nearly 7 years in the Esprit with nothing more than a $6 harbor Freight float charger (worked like a charm). Replaced it 12 months ago with a new Yellow top and the same $6 charger and all works great.
  12. Mixed feelings, overall I enjoyed it but the trailers gave way too much away. I can't help thinking it had the crap edited out of and the 3+ hour directors cut (as with Blade Runner) will be the one to watch. As others said, some old questions answered, some new ones created, kinda reminded me of never ending twists of Lost
  13. Today is a bad day to be a rocket scientist in North Korea!
  14. Man arrested at Large Hadron Collider claims he's from the future By Nick Hide on 1 April 2010, 10:33am April 1st .... :eusa_think: :eusa_think:

  16. Looks like an interesting project, and you'll find lots of great info at this site http://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/
  17. Spent the afternoon in the OC with the guys from the Collins Foundation and ticked off one of these "bucket" list items today by going for flight in a B17 Flying Fortress. What an amazing experience, vibration and noise as we started up and taxied was incredible but got super smooth as we got airborne headed along the California coast, just that beautiful droning of 4 radial engines. Gives you an entirely new perspective of what these aircrews must have gone through during the war, especially the poor guy who ended up in the ball turret (damn that's a small space!). Anyway, the Collins guys are on trip around the US with a B17, B24 and a P51 Mustang, and if anyone wants to join them check out their schedule at http://www.collingsfoundation.org/cf_schedule-wof.htm (they're in the OC until Monday) and you won't meet a more dedicated team of aviation enthusiasts. Now just got to figure out how to get a ride in a Spitfire and my aviation bucket list will be complete!
  18. Now the plot thickens, seems as no UK Government money, but a big chunk of change from Malaysia just went their way. Wonder if the plan all along was to move production to mainland EU, maybe same factory as the AM Rapid was outsourced to (will probably also be better build quality!)? Anyway, I hope it all pans out for them and but only time will tell ..... Lotus 'revolution' looking likely now April 15 2011 at 10:19am Five of the best from Lotus (V) There’s good news for those that drooled over the five new models that Lotus showed off at the Paris Motor Show last year. Malaysia's national carmaker Proton has secured £270 million from six banks to fund a five-year turnaround for Lotus, which it owns. Proton’s MD said the money will primarily be used for product development, and that part of the loan will be used to upgrade the Lotus facilities in Norfolk in England. Under the five-year plan, Lotus aims to almost boost production to 8000 cars a year after 2013 by launching the aforementioned five gorgeous new models (Esprit, Elan, Elite, Elise and Eterne). Group Lotus Chief Executive Officer Dany Bahar said with the new financing, the sports car maker will be able to introduce these much needed new models to bolster sales. Bahar said the new Esprit was expected to be rolled out in March 2013 and hopes it will help Lotus break even in 2014. He added that Lotus currently sells at least 3000 units a year with two models. Proton bought a controlling stake in the British sports and racing car maker in October 1996, but it has remained debt-ridden since then, although the Malaysian firm last year said it was committed to turning it around by 2015. -AFP & IOL
  19. An even simpler way to make races more exciting is to stop that dumb ass Tilke from designing any more tracks. Plenty of good circuits out there without adding new and boring tracks to the calendar.
  20. Hmm .. mine do a similar thing a few months back, if you want to bring it round I'll see if I can get it running (recommend you come in a boat mind you!)
  21. That video is fcuking awesome! But, what if we'd have taken our 2 trillion dollars and dolled it out equally to every Iraqi, each getting a few hundred thousand dollars each; think how different that country would be. They'd like us, they'd be prosperous and the hard core Jihadi shit heads wouldn't have anyone to recruit into the holy war as everyone would be happy and employed etc (and they'd be no 5000 dead US service people) just a thought, and did I say how awesome that video is ......
