  2. We really don't see anything in the firmware/software used to calibrate 2015 models that can benefit in producing more HP then your previous models (2014, 2013). Just the obvious such as suspension, interior, etc. Overall it is more refined.

  11. Awesome wheels. This vehicle belongs to Antolin @ COBB So cal correct? Great setup!
  12. UPDATE from Cranberry from the 1/2 mile event: All, These runs were from both days and I had a blast! To me there only a handful of cars that can keep up with our GT-Rs. Every spectator I heard pretty much said the same thing "Damn those F***ing GT-Rs are fast!". To anybody thinking of attending an event like this it is well worth it. The shutdown area was not as long as it needed to be and I believe the guy hosting Blake said that it was about 2300 feet of shutdown area. Going 170 MPH or more I think we all need about another 500 feet to slow down but it was still a great place to run. I finally got a chance to use my Go Pros and it is so much easier than trying to get somebody to record with my HD camcorder. I ran a best MPH of 185.85 today which I feel is damn good for a car still using the stock manifolds and small turbos. I attached my last and fastest slip and what the DA was at the time of the run. Enjoy the vids! Fuel - VP C16 leaded Max Boost - 33psi Power - 875-900 WHP / 800-820 TQ Cranberry SPE950R - 181.41 mph Cranberry SPE950R - 181.84 mph Cranberry SPE950R - 182.02 mph Based on our log files today boost levels have reached 33 psi which tapers down to 29 psi towards the upper RPM using VP C16 leaded fuel. The image below are the turbochargers behind the SPE950R package engineered with the compressor/turbine housings from your OEM turbochargers. This allows GT-R to perform and produce the same massive low end response/TQ as your OEM + some more on top. Since the completion of Cranberry's GT-R in November 2012, the SPE950R's performance never ceases to amaze us. More updates of this event to come shortly with videos as well as achievements from other great tuners who participated. If any of you have information, please post and share. - Eugene@SPE
  14. One of my favorite aspects of the Nissan GTR is the community it has created. I believe one of the greatest flaws in the "super car" world, is the lack of creativity and desire to modify. But there is an obvious passion for standing out from the crowd in the GTR community, and I think that is absolutely awesome. This already modified 2012 GTR came in for some serious upgrades, as well as a few cosmetic changes to refresh the look. The most unique aspect of this particular example, is the vinyl wrap the owner chose. What you're looking at is Brushed Aluminum Vinyl, and I can say first hand, it looks so incredible in person that I've taken note for my next personal project. While the vinyl wrap is easily the most distinguishable exterior modification, the Esprit Wing previously installed attracted quite a bit of attention as well, so the owner decided to make things a bit more subtle, and replaced it with the OEM wing. From a visual perspective, modifying has to be done carefully, and it requires a certain balance of attention. A perfect example is reducing the aggressiveness of the rear, but adding to it in the front. The owner decided to install a Revozport R-Track Front Lip with Brake Duct Kit, one of my personal favorites. This particular aero item not only compliments the looks of the GTR, it greatly helps in brake cooling as well. While the aesthetics were being tackled, the motor was being taken care of as well. Since the car is notorious for having power to match the looks, the owner wanted to stick to that and chose the SPE950R package. With our fully blue printed and balanced SPE Spec 3.8L motor. A crucial piece to a build aiming for monster power. As well as all our visible goodies from the engine bay, put back together and ready for our SPE Speed Density COBB Tune on Ethanol 85 . It's always a good time sitting here in the office listening to our customer's cars being dyno'd. Another reason for my love of this car is that there is no such existence of a bad sounding GTR. They all sound fantastic, especially after our upgrades. This particular example with our SPE950R sounded incredible. It put down the power incredibly as well. The aggressive looks now complimented by a smooth steady power band topping off at roughly 912WHP and 858TQ. The owner was able to run his car at the Shift Sector event and in his own words, "The car ran fantastically. Very smooth delivery and no hiccups found whatsoever." - We're always glad to have another happy customer. If you have interest in our SPE950R Package, as well as other products, please contact Alex ([email protected]) or Eugene ([email protected]). Thanks for looking.
  15. When Godzilla emerged from the sea and terrorized the streets of Japan, people fled in a frenzy of terror. Here at SP we would like to think that the unveiling of our SPE Godzilla Package will do the same to anything on the road it crosses paths with. Throughout the past few years of R&D, as well as installing our packages on multiple cars, we have learned a great deal about the GTR and we decided it was time to create a package that could reach even greater goals than our 1000R Package. Meet our SPE Godzilla Package, capable of producing a monstrous 1800+ Crank Horsepower on E98 fuel. The build starts with our SPE Spec 4.0 liter race motor which is built from the ground up with: - SPE Spec Full Blue Print and Balanced Short Block - SPE Spec Steel Sleeves - SPE Spec H Beam Connecting Rods - SPE Spec Custom Forged Pistons - SPE Spec Head & Main Stud Kit - SPE Spec Stage 3 Camshafts - SPE Spec Stage 3 Race Head As well as beefing up the motor's internals, the GR6 transmission is upgraded in house with a stronger gear and clutch system to accommodate the massive power increase. The entirety of the modifications to the GR6 Transmission include: - PPG 1st to 6th Gear Set - PPG Billet Output Shaft - Dodson Promax Alloy Clutch Kit- FWD Retainer - Oil Pump Upgrade - Magnet Kit- Mechanical Circlip 1 & 2 - O-ring and Seal Kit - Transmission Filter - Piston Selector Shims x3 - High Temp. Rear Differential Seal - Heavy Duty Clutch Return Spring Seals x2 - Heavy Duty Clutch Return Spring Retaining Clips - Piston Shaft Seals - FWD Output Seal - 2,4,6 Thrust Bearing Clip While the internals of the motor/transmission are a key ingredient to handling the power, the external components of the motor are a key ingredient to adding all that power. Such as our SPE Spec Throttle Body combined with the SPE Spec Greddy Intake Manifold. The SPE Spec Greddy Intake Manifold holds an additional custom tapped fuel rail to provide the amount of fuel needed for all the power: specifically 3000cc in each cylinder. This is vital as being tuned on Ethanol requires an average of 30% more fuel than regular gasoline. A great deal of custom work goes into the Godzilla package, such as our SPE Spec Custom Manifolds built in shop. Each custom piece is manufactured to the utmost precision to provide consistency in any build. Our SPE Spec Titek Solid Motor Mounts is another prime example of this. Our absolute pride and joy however, is our SPE Spec Titek 102MM Titanium Full Exhaust, which is included in the Godzilla Package. It weighs in at 27.9 lbs, roughly 30 lbs lighter than the OEM exhaust. Every aspect of the exhaust is titanium, and it flows as follows: (2)80MM piping -> v-band -> (1)102MM piping -> v-band -> (2)80MM piping -> v-band -> (4) 80MM tips. The 102MM aids greatly in avoiding back pressure and is a critical component to this build creating so much power. Once all the custom work is done and ensured to meet our standards, the external parts of this motor's build are properly installed. These items include: - SPE GODZILLA Turbo System - SPE Spec Custom Manifolds - SPE Spec V-Band Turbochargers - SPE Spec V-Band External Wastegates - SPE 76mm Down Pipes - SPE Spec ETS Race Intercooler System - SPE Spec Greddy Aluminum Intercooler Pipe Kit - SPE Spec Greddy Blow Off Valve System - SPE Spec Air Suction Pipe Kit 90mm - SPE Spec Greddy Fuel Rail - SPE Spec Intake Manifold - SPE Spec Additional Fuel Rail - SPE Spec 75mm Throttle Body - SPE Spec 3000cc Injectors - SPE Spec AAM Fuel Pump System - SPE Spec Race Fuel Pressure Regulator + Gauge - SPE Spec Oil Catch Tank - SPE Spec Titanium 4" Exhaust System - SPE Spec Racing Spark Plugs Range 9 - ATI Crank Damper All this added power creates some seriously high temperature numbers for the motor and transmission, so our SPE Spec ETS Race Intercooler System is installed (Godzilla Art not included) to provide even greater cooling. A Greddy DCT Cooler for the transmission is included as well, which allows for optimal hydraulic pressure and maintains extremely consistent temperatures not effected by coolant temperatures. After everything is installed and the cooling is taken care of, the vehicle is brought around to the dyno and the most vital part of any build begins. Our SPE engine calibration is achieved with Syvec's S8 (SGTR) which allows for absolute engine management control. This leads to the photo most important to any build, the claim to fame. That is of course, the dyno graph. For those wondering, that right there is 1.0 BAR beginning at 4500RPM, 3.0 BAR (Full Boost) beginning at 5800RPM leading to a consistent 3.0 BAR from 5800RPM to 8000RPM. This in turn, produces the numbers of a max torque at 1197 and a max power at 1405 to the wheels, power even Godzilla himself would be intimidated by. Side by side comparisons are crucial to measuring improvements, so the photo above presents our Godzilla Package on the same graph table as one of our customer's SPE1000R Package. The SPE1000R package produced a max torque of 976 and a max power of 1185. To add even more assurance of how powerful our Godzilla Package is, here is a Record Table of what the SPE1000R was capable of achieving in the 1/4 mile. A consistent 8.8 second (roughly) 1/4 Mile with a consistent 165 mph (roughly). Here's a video of the 1000R's fastest pass: Here at SP we are as anxious as you are to see what 1/4 mile times the Godzilla Package will be able to produce. We are doing some final testing and ensuring the tune is dialed to maximum efficiency. So stay tuned for those numbers (as well as increased power/torque numbers). They will be here soon.. If you have any questions regarding the Godzilla Package, please contact Alex ([email protected]) or Eugene ([email protected]). Thanks for looking.
  16. No sir, 2012+ DBA GT-R's have a darker inner shade of red.
  17. Based on our recent tuning session we did not see any issues with back pressure as the boost levels were stable up to 8000RPM @ 40psi. Towards the exit of the x4 tail pipes they're 80mm each.
  18. Your exhaust has been sitting here since last week!!! What are you waiting for?
