  1. Down around 35% in the last 10 days or so, so yeah, who knows.
  2. Wish they made a 20" front in stock size (or close enough to work) for the Huracan. The 315 will work on the rear, but you either have to run a different brand on the front or go to 19s.
  3. Agree with buy what color you like, but as far as how color may affect resale, you have to keep in mind not only what is desirable (the demand side), but the supply side as well (i.e., how many were made). I can't speak to the Murcis, but with the Gallardos, yellow has always been a popular color, but Lamborghini also made a ton of the cars in yellow, so they were not as sought after as say orange or green in my experience, because far fewer cars were made in those colors. It was also always my understanding that silver was the least "desirable" color on a G. I can't imagine yellow would have any negative effect on resale for a Murci, and it's a beautiful color, so if you like it, buy it.
  4. In a nutshell it was offline for several weeks/months and while it came back most of the users didn't.
  5. Read a report the other day that said GM will be losing money on every C8 with an MSRP under $80k. I bet the price increases will be early and often.
  6. Beautiful cars Jim, and an amazing accomplishment. Congrats!
  7. +1. Would rather stick a fork in my eye than hear his voice. Maybe it's a generational thing, but geez.
  8. Looks more like an NSX to me. I guess we'll know the truth in 3 days.
  9. Lot of familiar names on there, including a major contribution from UR. RIP.
  10. That's a badass render but I'd be shocked if it looked that good. I do think it will look a good bit better than the C7 though.
  11. No doubt the Z06 and higher end variants will be that much and more (they are now), but if that's the price for the least expensive version, they will have reduced their universe of potential buyers by about 80% and it would dramatically impact their sales. No way they could sell anywhere near the numbers they usually churn out (30-40k units a year) at $100k+. I guess the upside would be you wouldn't have to worry about seeing them on every corner like the previous cars. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out.
  12. No more auto-correct to POS? It's a Lambopower milestone! Very interested to see the new car, and I hope they don't take it solely upmarket. A V8 ME great handling vette that still starts in the $70k range would be very interesting.
  13. Congrats. Hoping to get one in the next 30 days on a Liberty Leonidas upper I've had sitting at a local shop for quite a while. That this process even exists is absurd, but oh well.
  14. Are you looking at the 1/4 mile trap on the 1/2 mile timeslip? Toward the end of the vid there is a 1/4 mile run on a dragstrip showing 141.
  15. Reminds me of a Tom Wolfe quote: Fascism is always descending on the United States yet lands only in Europe.

I actually thought the updates in '17 were good improvements, but that looks like a giant catfish to me.
  17. Not just Chavez but probably most of his family. His 30 something year old favorite daughter was reportedly the wealthiest person in Venezuela after his death (~$4 billion IIRC). Amazes me how some people claim we need socialism because of income inequality, but income inequality in places with the most socialism is a million times worse than what exists under capitalism. Then when you point out all the historical examples of what has occurred under socialist regimes (including mass murder), they say "Oh but that wasn't really socialism" or "that wasn't true socialism." So I gather socialism works great on paper, but is an abject disaster in real life.
  18. More like so covered up they can't surface for air would be my guess.
  19. They are monsters. My wife drives a C63S and it's a beast even untuned, assuming you can get the tires to hook up. I wish it were AWD sometimes. Thanks for the feedback on the rebuilding issue.
  20. One thing I've always been curious about is whether an independent shop like yours could repair/rebuild a catastrophic engine failure on an AMG for a lot less than having a dealer replace it (with either a new or remanufactured engine). Have you done that before?
  21. $10k is far from a worst case scenario repair on a CL65, or really almost all AMG's from the last 10-15 years. Non-engine or a minor engine issue, probably so. But if the engine has a major problem, no. I know of 3 cars offhand just from being around my local MBZ dealership that wound up parked and essentially abandoned down there because it didn't make economic sense to fix them. The last one was an ML63 in very nice condition, but the engine failed (may have been one of the cars with the head bolt issues), and even a remanufactured one was going to be $23k installed. A new engine was $35k installed. But the vehicle was only worth low 30's at the time, so the owner didn't know what to do with it. These cars offer great value used because the depreciation is brutal, but if one breaks, the repair costs are equally brutal (as you note about the CL).
  22. Yeah that gauge cluster is gone as well. I assume they replaced it with virtual gauges in the new touch screen, but not sure.
  23. Excellent. I would think most people will go with black but who knows.
