  1. None. Since this isn't a race, but a cruise. No safety equipment required.
  2. At Powercruise in Brainerd International Raceway last weekend, a UGR Huracan spun out and flipped, resulting in a harrowing rescue of the unconscious driver. It was distressing to see, a nightmare to experience, but could have been so much worse. https://shortshift.co/lamborghini-crash-powercruise-2019-brainerd/
  3. And not a single fire, amazing. Gorgeous spec.
  4. *Patiently awaits the return of the almighty KS* Aren't they all sold out?
  5. Definitely Road America and BIR.
  6. Brock gave me a press pass for the event! I'll see you at the track!
  7. I've purchased from Joma Shop before, although it wasn't a Patek, with very good results. This was Dec 2014.
  8. Sounds like fun. Side note: Definitely don't miss those Michigan roads!!
  9. More than presumably homes, the agent straight up stalked the guys and sat outside their houses for "weeks".
  10. If you watch the interview with the State's representative, your blood will boil. "At the end of the day, somebody is going to jail" No regard for human life. Your tax system allowed for a loophole, and savvy individuals exploited it. Close the loophole and solve your problem.
  11. Spotted at a high school? Like teaching kids about fire arms, you gotta let them satisfy the curiosity. Legend!
  12. Whoever chose that spec and photos should be taken round back and shot. Watching the videos, it looks amazing. But those pictures
  13. I appreciate it. I've had two very optimistic consultations. I just put a lot of stake in a personal referral, especially to someone billing $380/hr +exp
  14. Definitely the latter. Like $15,549 and counting. Exdrag car poorly reverted to stock. I know I know, PPI. But let's save the time and skip to recommendations based on the facts.
  15. I hate that I have to seek a second recommendation for a lawyer, but here we are. I recently purchased a ZR1 out of Santa Monica, and long story short, the car has some incredible flaws that the dealership very much intentionally concealed. Dealership employee tells me last week (on a recorded phone call, with consent) that the owner of the dealership authorized him to purchase the car back and reimburse expenses. General Manager is now telling me to pound sand and he would happily bury me in the discovery costs with his "Team of lawyers on Beverly Hills" if I want litigation. So of course, here I am seeking advice for representation.
  16. I was puking my guts out for about 5 hours before my brother's wedding. 20 min before the ceremony, I'm handed Zofran. I was hopping, skipping, and jumping down the isle in no time. I think it's script only though.
  17. Just goes to show that it can happen to anyone. RIP, he is a legend.
  18. The tough part with runway runs, is the width of the track really messes with your depth perception. The end comes up a lot quicker than you realize.
  19. This was the biggest thing, for me. The ETS car was fast, no doubt. It barely idled (probably altitude related, but still). It died probably 4-5 times on the live feed. UGR would come up, rip off a pass, and drive back. On the feeds it seemed there was no real drama.
  20. It's a lengthy story, but here it is. I'm the smallest fish out of water in our group of 6 so far. http://shortshift.co/rivsu-imports-horror-...-emily-mccarty/
  21. I appreciate it. There's a pretty big market for the imported cars, but there are a LOT of scumbags around. They feed off the ambiguity and nuances of the law and people's general lack of knowledge. If you have any questions about the process please don't hesitate to reach out, I've become pretty well versed.
  22. Spoke to a couple of lawyers from a quick google search, sounds like I'm SOL. It was just a little experiment in the importing of the 90's Japanese cars. I had secured a Mitsubishi Evolution 4 to be imported in November of 2021. The car was $6,700 so there's not a ton on the line, but it was more about the experience. I was going to fly over and drive it around Japan and hopefully sell it for a little profit once it was delivered. Turns out, the company I had purchased it from closed up shop and the owners disappeared. There are a few other parties in the middle of litigation so I don't want to post too many details. There is hope, because the car exists and the owner of the Japanese shop is in close communication with myself and the other people importing cars. He's trying his best to salvage the situation so I'm quite grateful for him. Believe me, when I feel I'm able to, I will post all the details.
