  1. The whole event was a highlight and topping it off was spending time with Valentino Balboni and listening to his stories from the early days. I mean this is the man who was test driving these cars while most of us were mere kids gazing at the poster on the wall dreaming. Told a story of he and an engineer running a Countach into a field one night, a farmer drove up on his tractor, lights shining on the car, doors up. Farmer jumps off the tractor and runs the other way while Valentino is yelling at him asking for help!
  2. My dealer told me that Lambo will be introducing the car in January, forgot what show he said. So it''s likely units may be rolling out late summer. Didn't say anything about taking orders.
  3. No sir, that's Marty's car, he will be driving it and KC will be driving UR 4. They also brought Quberto (I believe, I may be wrong, saw it in the trailer) and a customers 1R Gallardo. I'll try and post their times as they run on my Instagram. @ur___55
  4. I think it's only for spec'd cars which models haven't hit the market yet. I never signed one for the lambo's purchased that were already in stock. For example, my 17 H Spyder was one of the first produced, Spec'd in January 2016 and delivered in July 2016. The Urus was spec'd and as we all know not being delivered as of yet. This keeps people from buying new "releases" and turning around and "flipping" them, I guess...

  6. Yes sir, running 1100 on 93 pump. Working with a local vendor to supply me with MS109 so 93 will have to do for now.
  7. Sure most had to sign an agreement that they would not resell within a year or give the dealership the option to buy it back. Forgot what the verbiage is, signed a few in the past on spec'ed orders. Once that time passes, many will hit the market.
  8. That's what I was told as well. Overall a decrease in production of the Huracan as well. The P's aren't going to have many produced and the Spyders, well, one dealership in Texas was only allocated 10 for the year and that number is supposed to decline in 2019. The P's out there are holding their value for now.
  9. I was wondering what you all were using that 3D printer for and why you had cases of silver spray paint...
  10. I love it, it's very addicting. Yesterday I went out and didn't want to come back in, ended up staying out almost three hours. I know it's not always about speed, which is why I like the Spyder, top down, cruising and being thankful for life. Knowing the ability to burst into speed if/when the time feels right is great. I think the sound from the video clearly shows there is no turbo lag occurring, the gears switching is so smooth whether you're hitting a run or just driving around town. Saturday evening I took a couple local guys from the car scene for a ride. They both had ridden in the car before UR. They were expecting hard, rough shifts, just an overall beating of a ride. They both could not get over how the car felt the same, just as it did before UR. When I made a pass on the car, they were both in awe, could not believe the smoothness of the shifts and the way the car kept pulling through the gears, no lag, never letting up. It's always talked about how so and so can do it cheaper, this or that kit is just as good as a solution. All in all you get what you pay for. Whether I am spending $40k or $140k, I want it done right and done by the folks who developed the product. I am not going to spend any amount of money for a kit that comes in a box that I take to a third party mechanic to have installed. Just because it's a "bolt on" kit, there's more to the installation. Even UR's bolt on kit, there's a reason they do the install themselves. They know the cars, during the installation, they do much more than just bolt on the kit which is why they don't market their product to third parties.
  11. Several years ago I walked in Lambo Dallas with my jeans tucked into my work boots, fishing shirt untucked wearing a cap. Scot Whitworth came right out, greeted me and that's when I bought my first Lambo. A few months later I had gone to the local chevy place here in Abilene, dressed the same way, drove my old pickup, not my Range Rover or Lambo. Nobody would wait on me, the receptionist didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in or left. I peeked into the windows of a couple vettes, nothing. Salesmen on the phone, texting, moving mouse around on their computers. I came back an hour later in the Lambo. Front door was opened for me. Greeted by a salesman, even the receptionist! go figure.
  12. I didn't see it there. Was looking and hoping to see it make a run or two.
  13. I agree. ut oh, those videos beginning to follow in reality tv's footsteps? scripted?
