  1. Thanks. Since the car was supposedly owned/maintained by SP Eng - I did send an email to them as well to see if they have any information they can share. Some of the links I found with references to this car http://www.conceptcarz.com/view/photo/4164...,0,0/photo.aspx https://www.madwhips.com/photo/53910/2003-l...-on-maya-rims-7 (based on picture match only) The second link showed that the car may have been sold through roy/cats exotics, and was owned by a Kevin Cornwall in portland, OR
  2. Thanks. In reading other articles, RWD was mentioned as one of the best upgrades to get as well. My main concern would only be how it affects resaleability if there are potential buyers who only want AWD/ all stock. In terms of the history - The dealer did mention that many people who called up all seem to know the car very well. Maybe its my poor googling skills but I cant find anything about the car based on VIN/sp eng site/ this & other lambo related sites. Any help (link to other threads/etc) on that front would be greatly appreciated. The only other bit of info the dealer shared is that since the car is a bank reposession, it was re-keyed. This reason was the same justification they provided for not having the service records for the car.
  3. Thanks for the correction- yes Blu monterey. So in terms of history- outside the rwd conversion, which I am fine with, esp if its done by a reputable place like SP eng, any other concerns with this car?
  4. Hi all - Need your help again My next target to get into the exotic market: 2003 Used Lamborghini Murcielago 6.2L 2dr Coupe at CNC Motors Inc. Serving Ontario, CA, IID 13913262 VIN: ZHWBU16MX3LA00839 the carfax report looks clean. The dealer doesnt have much info on the car besides that a RWD conversion has been done. I would like to find out more about the service history of the car, specifically the major service at 10/15k. Obviously I will get a PPI with compression test/leakdown, but I like to get info on the history as well if anyone knows this car. Thanks
  5. They just said it was "Front engine seal". I cannot make out which picture is for the leak in question. Attaching a few more to see if that helps.
  6. Results of the PPI The good - compression is at 155-160 - clutch wear at 2.02mm (~65% life left) - No pending codes in control units - no scratches under front bumper The bad - small leak in front diff - small leak in front engine seal - small leak in power steering The place that did the PPI indicated that the leaks are nothing major and common for cars that are ~10 yr old and did not need to be repaired, and suggested just checking fluids often. I am semi-skeptical about this. Side note - The owner did offer to include the original hercules wheels for $3k more.
  7. Thanks. Current owner had paperwork which indicated the clutch was changed at 5k, but I guess only another reading will tell. He does have the original wheels as well- should I request to have those reinstalled instead?
  8. Alt link http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-Lamborghini-M...=p2047675.l2557 Here is the description/pics in case that does not work either VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): zhwbu16s85la01330 Vehicle Title: Clear Mileage: 10,300
  9. Hi everyone- I need help again with info on the following Murci http://www.ebay.com/itm/121648798317 I went to see the car and physically its in great condition. I put down a deposit and bringing to PPI next thursday. Want to know if anyone has info on this car. Some areas of concern - there are no records in the autocheck report since 2010. According to owner he did maintenance, but I guess the PPI will confirm that? - Believe there is a scheduled service at 10k - should this be in the report/should I find a shop that can find that out using some special lambo computer/tools? - Pricewise I think its a good deal - 130k for 2005/~10k miles. any opinions on this? - based on my research I think 2005 is a good year for the Murci as its the second e-gear year, plus the brake issue were addressed- any negative thing I should know? thanks for any input!
  10. Thanks. Think its a good idea to have the original parts around regardless of your own preference, as I cannot determine future owner's orientation for this feature. Making rollback easier will make the sale easier as well. Any else care to share their valuation for the expected cost of the car?
  11. Thanks for the replies. so here is what I know so far Manual 6 speed 7 owners (UT > NC > OH > AZ > UT > UT > WI) 33k miles (there was a report of mileage mismatch but owner claims this is due to someone incorrectly reporting KM as miles) Car was black, wrapped with blue (any concerns with wrap process?) converted to RWD/no front diff interior changed from tan alcantara to black clutch replaced replaced in last 6 month: coil packs, eibach adjustable coilover suspension, water pump, belt, brake rotors, brake pads the usual other upgrades - stereo, exhaust, wheels Whats a fair price for this - I was targeting $110-$115k, and of course will get PPI.
  12. Hi all- I am looking to possibly purchasing this murcielago http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXTREMELY-RARE-6-S...=p2047675.l2557 Has this been owned by anyone in the past/any history that I should be aware of? all the autocheck/carfax reports come back clean (outside of having many owners). I did find an old thread on lambo-talk http://www.another board/vbforum/f4...2la12234-25544/ and it made references to this site but I could not find a thread searching by the VIN. Thanks for any help- This will be my first lambo and would really like to get all data points before making this big decision.
