Ok thanks all. I thought it might just unscrew but was worried about the shaft! Stupid question, will I need to get it rechromed or just re polished and laquered?

Anyone know how to remove the gear knob in an 05 Gallardo? I've tried twisting but too scared to give it too much force! Just looking to get it polished up..

Apparently Recaro do make subframes for the Gallardo. Now all I'm worried about is the width of the seat etc. I won't miss the electric movement, but think I'll miss the heated seats...

Thanks for the replies. Never thought about the R8 having them in so I guess thats good news! I'll try looking further into it when I can!

Does anyone know if its possible to fit these seats into a Gallardo? The stock ones just aren't supportive enough. I'm not sure what the max width we could fit in? They look quite wide...
