  1. Hey there, are you still considering selling the vehicle? If so, would love to chat. [email protected]
  2. So for the layman here, what do you do if a rear tire blows? I can't seem to find ANY tires available right now for the stock rim size rear: 335/30/18
  3. I know the guys at Lambo Dallas really well. It's a good shop. I have a 2008 LP640. Honestly, I love that car. I was in a similar position than you when I looked for a car. Didn't know exactly what year, egear or manual etc. The manuals are demanding so much more $, which to be honest is totally not worth it to me. I love the e gear system. I love the rev-matching, and I love the way the car drives, shifts, and handles. I have had my car for 1 year now, and I have not a single bad thing to report. It's an 08, and absolutely amazing, and hands down the craziest car I have ever owned, and prob will for a while. Price/value wise I'd go with a Murci and day over an Aventador. Everything that makes the Murci a raw over the top car has been tamed down on the Aventador. Plus they'll depreciate another 100-200k, while the Murci will probably stay where it's at or go up in Price.
  4. Excellent post as usual stimpy! Thank you very much and if you're ever in Dallas, please let me know, we're running the Lambo Club Dallas up here
  5. That is awesome stimpy! I wound def be interested. And I'm sure a lot of others as well. I really think it is just missing a center emblem that's it. I'm very happy with the wheel otherwise lol.
  6. And any way to just add that emblem without removing the wheel?
  7. Nice!! That looks amazing Stimpy. How did you get the emblem in the middle of the wheel? I really like that.
  8. I hear you and will take the time to read through your links tomorrow. However, I have found those silly fish eye spot mirrors incredibly helpful. And if it increases safety, which it does for me, I strongly suggest it. The Murcis are known to have a large blind spot, but part of that might have to do with the mirror not being set properly. Either way, visibility in the car is worse than any other super car I have ever owned. Or any other car for that matter, so I'll gladly accept the help of those inexpensive add ons.
  9. Awesome pics!! I think I'm gonna go into the garage right now to look at my Murci lol
  10. Not gonna lie, one of my best investments for the MUrcielago were the eight dollar blind spot mirrors from AutoZone. They have saved my ass numerous times now. And I rely heavily on them while driving the car now. The blind spot is just so huge on the Murci, I think it's a worthy investment. And they look factory actually. Ha.
  11. Please post pictures if you do !!
  12. Thanks guys!! Appreciate the kind words. These are the LED lights I'm using. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Z9NVLV0/r...rcrr+led+lights It's a cool white, almost s blueish tint to it. The remote works like a charm. Don't know how I never thought of that. Brilliant!! Took probably 2-3 hours with soldering, hiding all the cables, and uninstalling the side panels etc.
  13. This is the outcome. I think it looks great!!
  14. Thanks, that's def a good point. Yes fuse a must, I'll make sure I'm going to use the proper fuse size once i know exact numbers of LEDs. That kit has 15 amps tops. So according to google that translates to 180W? These are the lights I bought: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Z9NVLV...ailpage_o01_s00 which are 72W for 5 meter. So that should be plenty if I'm understanding this properly. This is the remote on off switch: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZRW78...ailpage_o02_s00 Sorry, I'm clearly no electrical engineer.. you guys are all super helpful !
  15. This is the port in the engine bay. Bot positive I think....? The negative I could just hook up to the bolt that holds down the engine lid mechanism? see pics attached.
  16. Aweosme, I'll buy that one. Only thing the terminal on the left side of the engine bay is 2 positives I believe? So just hook the negative up to a screw ground somewhere in the engine bay..? Also, do you use any fuse for the hot wire? If so how strong?
  17. Brilliant Idea, I didn't even think about that. Do you have a link as an example for what module to use? Thank so much.
  18. Yes, LEDs barely draw a current, you could leave them running all night and should be fine. I'm worried about splicing into cables, probably rather just connect directly to the battery. But it seems like that's no easy feat and then running it to the driver's cabin.
  19. I never use the seat condoms for driving or riding. Reminds me of those plastic wraps people used to put on their couches. Seems just very trashy.... lol
  20. Hey guys, loving my LP640, but you know we car owners like to tinker with things. So I thought, I should add some LED lights to the engine bay for effects at night. Call me silly, call me childish, I actually like the way it looks. Has anyone done this before on a Murci LP640? I have done it before on a Ferrari. What's the easiest way to wire it, and access the engine bay from the cabin? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
  21. The car you mention at Global motorcars has been for sale for a while because it's a total loss vehicle. Price wise, I think the LP640 are not going to depreciate a whole lot more if any. the 6.2L trading anywhere from 120-170. I can't see those coming close to 100. The LP640 used to be 100k more than the 6.2L. It's a much better car. I don't think you'll see them depreciate much more. If anything, I see them increase in value over time. The Aventador has been out long enough for the people to trade their Murci is. It's the last true big V12 Lamborghini, it's iconic, similarly to the Countach and Diablo, and look where those are trading these days. And if you look at the LP640 market, there only have been 10-30 for sale on a consistent basis in the US. So if you ask me, they're staying just where they are or going up.
  22. I can see it in front of me on the Lamborghini assembly line in Italy: "Luigi", in heavy Italian accent "Yes Mario" "ah we just painta de side in color of da wing. But we are outa ofa da color" "Ah Mario, isa not a problem, we just painta ina blacka this time. Letsa go to hava grappa and a glass of wine. Mamma is waiting witha da pizza".
  23. No joke, plasti-dip that part. I love that stuff. It comes off if you don't like it anymore, and in the meantime it protects the paint. Clearbra would obviously do as well.
  24. Do you have a link? Don't think the pic is attached
