  1. All, Does anyone have this tool that I may rent? Tried please check with our franchised lamborghini dealer sponsors and it wasn't available.
  2. I always loved the older British roadsters. The Austins and the Morgan +4s have, always, been my faves.
  3. Since I have multiple sports cars, I'll lean towards an Austin-Healy 100 and use the 55g's left over for some fun and add to my investment portfolio. http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/listin...ley/100/1777566
  4. Hello All! hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend. I was wondering if anyone knows how to troubleshoot this P1745 "Paddle Up" error code? Or if anyone of you know a dealer tech I may speak with? This is frustrating, it has become a series of fix 1 issue another arises. My Paddles were fine before this venture of replacing the e-gear actuator. Any help is, greatly, appreciated.
  5. All, My e-gear system has lost its mind. Here is the story: My tech replaced my e-gear actuator. The retrain worked successfully. Put the car into Reverse, it moves forward. Tried the relearn, it failed and posted a P1770 code. E-gear out of range; whatever that means. Will not shift up with the paddles. It cycles through the gears with the relearn. Put the car into reverse it still moves forward, tried driving it like this, hit the up paddle, goes into Neutral. Anyone has an idea of what is going on? My tech and I are stumped. There's nothing in the Lambo service manual about this. I'm thinking hydraulic lines got mixed up (hard to believe as they were labeled when they were taken off 1-by-1) or TCU. The e-gear pump shows a consistent 700psi; is this within the range? I believe it is. Any suggestions to troubleshoot this is appreciated.
  6. Hey. I Spotted a black Countach on Hillendale & Rosedale/Barrows Run. I was in a brown Range Rover. Anyone know this person?
  7. Double, Yes, that theory doesn't take staggered setups into account. At this moment, I do not know much about the Murcie TCS system. Is it safe to assume that it operates like any other TCS? Meaning modulating ABS braking to get desired wheel speed? Or does it modulate abs braking and manipulate the differentials?
  8. All, I'm running Michelin PS2's in the OEM size ratios. I find it difficult to believe that the AWD Murices have to run Pirelli Corsa's. The AWD system is no different than any other AWD systems in different vehicles. As with any AWD system, if the tire ratio or wheel size changes that will cause issues with the differentials. However, if you run OEM wheel size and OEM tire sizes you are not stuck to 1 brand of tire. If you are concerned about load deflection of a tire, you may read this paper that I have always found useful: Tire Load Deflection Paper. All I am saying is tat this tire deflection stuff and required to stick with Pirelli's doesn't make sense to me. I could be wrong. Has anyone ran OEM tire sizes suffered from differential damage? Everything I came across and read was about non-OEM stuff.
  9. Do you have any left? If so do you have any XL tops and XL or L (i'm a 36 waist) shorts? Tried Sending you a private message. It didn't work for me.
  10. Hello Everyone. Purchased my Murcie back in March of this year. Here are a few pics. Change my title to owner, please.
  11. Hi all. Been a while since I have posted. I'm working on an engine project. I was wondering if anyone has done engine rebuilds on a LP640 and pre-LP engines. If so, I was wondering if anyone has left over pistons from each engine. I only need 1 of each. Any help is appreciated. It would help me a lot.
  12. Jon, The removal of the alternator was prompted by this problem: Interesting Weekend Topic have you ever had that issue? If you have any insight for me , may you respond on that posting? Appreciate it!
  13. Jon, Thank you for your response. I found how to remove it late last week. I did it by myself, but yes, another person is very helpful as I agree with what you said. My tensioner pully bolt is actually 15mm. It is a very tight space and I had to use the extension like you mentioned. Now on to re-installing the alternator. :\
  14. Thank you. Do you know where I can get a manual for the '06 with proper instruction on how to remove and replace the Auxilary belt?
  15. All, Once again I have a technical question. My '06 doesn't appear to have the tensioner that is shown in the manual for 02+ Murcies. Can someone show me where it is? I have included some pics of my alternator. As you can see the alternator mounting bracket on the left side does not have an adjustment slot as the one in the manual.
  16. Thank you all for your responses. My '06 battery tray holds a 34/34R perfectly. I have the battery bracket that hangs above the battery (the link posted earlier from please check with our franchised lamborghini dealer sponsors). So, this is the latest entry into my saga. Since I posted this thread, I have driven the car once. Yet again, the e-gear light comes on while I am driving. Fortunately I was close to home this time. Details: I was in 5th gear while driving. This time, I had throttle, but I could not down shift. One stopped, the car went into Neutral and would not go into 1st, 2nd nor reverse. Now, I have a fresh battery. The alternator tested fine. Test: Since the car does this to me while I am driving, I decided to let it idle until the voltage drops, then see if it goes into reverse or 1st gear. While the car was idling, the voltage meter in the dash read 13.1. Previously while driving the voltage meter hits 13.4, the e-gear light comes on, bish-bam-boom, car stops vroom (elementary humor). In this instance the voltage dropped to 13.1 and I was able to get the car into reverse and 1st gear. Interesting. This problem only occurs while I'm driving. Any ideas?
  17. Interstate makes good batteries. I've used them in the past for one of my Range Rovers. Had a good experience with them.
  18. Aren't Deka's OEM batteries for Lambo? I see Deka's on please check with our franchised lamborghini dealer sponsors, with a Lambo part #. I refuse to pay $1100 for a battery.
  19. Scotty, Really? I've put them in all of my vehicles and I have never had a problem with them. The one in my lotus have been off trickle for months, and the car still starts properly and runs. Guess different experiences. I bought that battery about 4 years ago.
  20. Thank you. Yes, I am going to stay religious on the tender. I'm searching, online, for a high CCA Optima battery right now. The person who has the Lambo DIY postings recommended a Yellow Top.
  21. Everyone, I have this posted on another site, but wanted to post this topic here as there are different ranges of knowledge present here. -------- Hi all. I had an interesting problem over the weekend. I went to start my murci on Saturday to no avail. The battery was flat (was not on a trickle charger). I missed 2 events. I put it on a trickle charger. By 1pm, I had enough of a charge to start the car. Now, here is my thinking: I got the car started. I took it out for a test drive. I figure that if I drove the car about 20 minutes, the alternator could charge the battery quicker than my battery tender. I'm driving for about 20-25 minutes, then the egear error light comes on, my car stops accelerating and I cannot shift gears. I was still coasting and was stuck in 3rd gear. I coasted the car to a small parking area. Once stopped, the car went into Neutral. The battery indicator was not illuminated. Here is where things get interesting. The voltage indicator reported the battery having about 12.3 volts (don't know what the amperage was). The car would start and run. However, pressing the paddle wouldn't get the car into 1st. Pressing the Reverse button didn't perform a gear change. I hear noises coming from the gearbox. There was some movement, but not an actual gear change. Fast forward to Sunday. I let the battery charge overnight. I turned the car on (did not start it). No egear error light. Pressed on the + Paddle. Goes into 1st. Flicked them both, goes into Neutral, flicked the + again, goes into 1st. Pressed the Reverse button, goes into reverse. Everything appears to be back to normal. 1. Is the alternator capable of fully charging a low battery? Or is it only good for trickle charging a full battery? 2. Are, random, electrical gremlins the normal for batteries that are lower than fully charged? This one has me for a loop. Other exotics I have owned, their alternator (as well as most alternators for other vehicles) are capable of fully charging a battery while driving. I am new to Murcielago ownership. Any insightful information would be appreciated. Currently, there is either an Optima Red top or Yellow top battery in the, very, near future. However, I am unsure which CCA rating is needed for the Murcie's (I believe it is 800, but unsure). TIA
  22. Stimpy, Looks like you may be able to use SS braided hoses, banjo connectors and fittings using Earl's connectors. They are made by Holley performance. They are sold by a lot of vendors. Some are Summit Racing, Jegs or Pegasus racing. Measure the ID and OD of the current hoses, grab the TPI of the current banjo fittings and you should be good. I would call Holley or Earls to get a pressure rating on their SS hoses to be certain they can handle the pressure of the hydraulics (I'm sure they can easily). No need for custom press fitting. Maybe about $300 total for all the lines and fittings.
  23. Great, That was the info I needed. Appreciate the help.
  24. Tried to PM you, not working for me for some reason. Was wondering if you could separate the key from the transmitter of one of your keys and take a photo of the FCC info? I want to compare it to mine. My keyfob doesn't list part numbers or frequency. Just the FCC ID. I see a FOB on ebay (from Canada), but want to make sure that the frequency's match. The one's on ebay I saw are 433mhz and 315mhz. If the ones I see don't match up to yours, then I'll just purchase a complete one from AMH.
