  1. Here you go...here are the pics of it when it was wrecked and then just before it was repo'd a second time with 14k miles on the clock.
  2. That is the same car that had the accident. There was a lot of money put into it to clean it up over the years. Roy added the wing and serviced the car. When Gus had it, the car had factory OEM wheels on it. The front bumper is not OEM, nor is the right front fender...rear bumper is in question as well as it does sag. There was some paint work also on the passenger side lower rear quarter. I'm sure Allan has the pics of the car when it was on the frame rack at the shop. I owned the car for awhile as well, it drives solid and straight and the repair work done to it, wasn't horrible. The car got repo'd from Gus and was going to be sold overseas when a guy named Gary bought it through Bergen County Lambo. He put a lot of money into the car at time of purchase, upwards of 18k for service, tires, battery, etc. Then good old Gary pops up out of the blue and wants to sell the car claiming title in hand, etc...his state is a title in hand state, however he didn't have the lien release. Some may remember a thread started about buyer beware scammer, etc...same car. Car got repo'd from him and fire sold to Benny. It had OEM wheels on it when it left the East Coast. But the dealer is lying about the accident...it surely went through a fence or something.
  3. Not to mention Chuck Norris delivering the punch line to a Chuck Norris joke. The movie was LOADED with puns and saying from every single actors movies, which actually made the movie more entertaining...Bruce Willis telling Arnold "You've been back enough"...Classic. Not a blockbuster hit, but worth the price of admission for the laughs and action...thought it was WAY better than the Bourne movie.
  4. Has it already been that long since I dropped it off at UGR? Time FLIES...but then again, so do the UGR cars! Looking forward to seeing this one run too! Congrats!

    LP640 gone

PM Sent. I have the car for you.
  6. I would check this car out closely...there was one just like this for sale in the Dallas area not long ago that had been in an accident and had non OEM front and rear bumpers installed. I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS THE SAME CAR, however, the front bumper is painted strangely and different from that of when it was at Driving Emotions with 5k miles on it. I would also be leary of ANYONE who has to point out that the vehicle comes with a "Clean Florida Title"...or any state for that matter....usually means there is something to hide. I'd research this one heavily to conform that it's not the one from Dallas that was wrecked...a quick google search by VIN and I found several listings to point this car to the Dallas area...so do your homework.
  7. 2k per car enclosed for that distance is par. Consider that prices on fuel just NOW started to get UNDER 4.00 per gallon and most multi car haulers only get 7-8 mpg, not to mention the time it takes...and of course getting a truck in downtown San Fran! I always charged more if I had to go into downtown San Fran just like I do now if I have to go ANYWHERE near New York. It's hell trying to navigate big trucks in those tight confined areas. George is your best bet...he's got trucks all over the place and I sometimes haul for him as well...but I wouldn't go coast to coast for 2k...fuel alone will eat up that run. Some people calculate by the mile, others like me calculate at $100.00 per loaded hour drive time...but I only run a 2 car and guarantee 48 hour delivery from pick up. Sometimes, paying less isn't always getting better.
  8. Couple of things you should know if you didn't already know...this car is an early production car...ie a launch car. All of the launch cars were the same color combo, black with the yellow interior...should be metallic black and not gloss black, difficult to tell in the photos. The production date on this car is in 2003, so that verifies it as a VERY early production car. These launch cars had no options on them...nothing, just base six speed cars. The carbon fiber kit that is in the interior is most likely aftermarket, the stereo is positively aftermarket, CF door sills aftermarket, sub woofer behind the seat and the painted calipers all done at another time and not from the factory...not a big deal, but you should be aware if you are not already. Inspect the service documents closely, especially the mileage from when the clutch was done until now, often times people get too excited about their purchase and overlook this aspect, skipping the fact that the "new clutch" was done 7k miles ago...not saying this is the case here, just review the docs closely. On the retail side, this is one of the hardest color combos to sell...not to mention that it's a launch car, some people call them press cars, same thing...for a few grand more, you can step into a mild optioned 05 and at least get the front lift system, which the 04's do not have. Either way, if this information helps you negotiate and you get what you want, then that is all that matters! Enjoy!
  9. The car originally had cream interior. I believe Paul in OC owned the car...has an earlier Diablo wing on it, not a 6.0 wing and when he had it, he always kept the wheels silver...I know he had the car for sale for some time and he did have a new clutch installed prior to relisting for sale about a year and a half or so ago and it had about 24,750 miles on it at that time... He drove the car...and well.
  10. Yes it COULD mean repeated mechanical issues...but it DOES impact the resale value just the same and hopefully, they will CPO this car and offer a complete warranty at no additional up charge. And yes, my favorite color of all time as well!
  11. Oh good Lord...the intent of my reply was not to claim fame to anything, try to sway one person's defnition of what SV may or may not mean, or claim that there are no differences between the SV and the VT as we all are VERY well aware that there are differences. AS Roy stated, the SV stands for whatever your source of information may or may not be, and my point was, and still is...there was no misrepresentation in the listing, it was a freaking typo. But thanks all for the input and feedback, I'll be sure to use more accurate definitions here in the future.

  13. No misrepresentation...simple typo...however, if we are getting technical, SV stands for Single Viscous...which this car is, so while it doesn't have the scoops on the bonnet, it is still a 2WD Diablo, and topcarbon is correct, one of 12 made. I'll go correct the typo now! Thanks!
  14. That explains the totalled Gallardo Spyder sitting in the parking lot in New York that has been posted several times. Ouch. Hope everyone is ok.
  15. Color? 04 being the first year for the e-gear there was a learning curve so to speak. You're right, prices are up on the Murcie's, it's tough to find a good one now and will probably get even more difficult. This is the result of there being no V-12 cars produced for 2 years...there are still good cars out there, just harder to find and the pricing, well...they aren't getting cheaper right now and probably won't until the 700 prices come down.
  16. Nope...we still have it and it's still for sale!!!
  17. NOOOOO!!! You gotta KEEP the Blue Monterey Murcie then ADD a Blue Monterey Lp700! It took me FOREVER to get you into a blue monterey murcie....and find one on top of it! Hope you're driving it in good health and all is well!
  18. Won't fit with stock wheels. I have a set of hercules here and the big brake set up on my 03...I could test fit them for you on the front, but my research years ago revealed it wouldn't work. Let me know if you want me to test fit and I can do so in the next couple of days.
  19. Probably is your coil packs...if you had the problem before and only cleaned/dried the area, that simply put a band aid on the problem. The early coil packs would allow water to pool at the bottom of them, thus creating rust over time and hence, creating your miss in your idle or running rough. Best to replace, and with 20k miles on the car, probably something you should look closely at anyways. It's almost certain that it's not water in your fuel...start with the obvious first, which is the known weak point of the ignition system, the coil packs. Best of luck. At least it's a fairly easy fix.
  20. I'm curious if LV Eric got his cars out of there before everything got locked up, disappeared, taken, or whatever happened? Anyone know? I think he had 5 or 6 cars there, both GTR's for awhile, both CT's, Murcie and his SE30. OUCH.
  21. Somewhat vague question with so many factors playing a role...would need to know mileage, color, service history, if it's complete or incomplete (ie tools, books, all keys, records), tire condition...if a roadster, what options it has such as carbon fiber engine bay & brace, carbon fiber interior package, etc. Any modifications done to the car? Accident history? But at the end of the day, an 05/06 coupe or roadster are worth what you're willing to spend for one. Add some more details to your question and I'm sure people here and the other forums you've posted on, will be more willing to give you an opinion on values, some will be accurate, some maybe not so much.
  22. This thread is awesome...love the combination of humor, skeptics and personal stories...always a great blend! I'll share one of my many experiences.... Several years ago I was living in Seattle and was room mates with my sister and two other friends....at the time I was a bouncer at a club and two of my roomies worked with me as well. Our normal routine waqs to get off work and head to the house and play video games until the break of day. The house was a newer split level, so you could clearly see the front door from the living room as there was just a wrought iron rail overlooking the stairs to the front door. The couch was backed up to this railing and 3 of us were sitting on the couch and a couple of other friends were scattered about the living room "cheering" the video challenges taking place. About 4 am, the front door knob turned, we could hear it clearly, everyone on the couch looked over the rail and watched in disbelief as the knob turned, front door opened slowly, opened enough to allow a person to enter or exit unobstructed...the door then closed slowly and was pushed or pulled shut completely. No one entered the house or left the house. We all sat in silence staring at the front door....I don't think any one of the 5 or so people that were there said a word for the next hour...it was just weird and sorta creepy. No one was drinking and nothing being smoked...LOL. We all saw the same damn thing. Weird. Anyways, loving the thread and back to my regularly scheduled weirdness.
  23. Yeah, I'm addicted! Wanted to get settled in before making official where I landed...so far the area is great, weather incredible and the people are over the top nice! Loving it! Thanks again all for the warm welcomes here! Will post up some of our inventory for your enjoyment in the coming days, some really cool cars coming in too! Stay tuned!
  24. Thanks Spooky...the car was actually pretty nice when GPI got ahold of it...car had new clutch and Lp640 front Differential installed prior to them taking delivery...the blue interior on the silver car looked pretty decent in person...it was such a dark blue it almost looked black, until you got somethng black next to it that is! LOL. I am pretty sure Shazaam got ahold of the car and put it back together, I know he had it listed for awhile after the accident. I think they got around the accident showing on carfax and autocheck because it happened in Canada....who knows...just know it was wrecked BAD. If I remember correctly, the fire car in question was a pearl white roadster with red interior...I delivered that car to the new owner when it was brand new and I spoke to him right after it burned up....was such a pretty car too.
  25. Thanks for the welcome Will! Excited to be here and have the shop off the ground with Bobby! It's been an awesome experience so far and looking forward to growing! Thanks again for the welcome!
