Both cars were introduced before they should have been do to the market. Both have some good size flaws and are getting upgrades on the fly. Who the fcuk cares if one is .15 seconds faster ect. I'm not going into what's better old cars or new. But I will tell you the problem with modern Lamborghini's and there are lots of them. I have worked with them on several occasions so I have a little insight into how they operate and the thought process. And I will say this, given their financial restrictions they do a pretty good job. But pretty good is not good enough in this segment. They suffer from the same problem most Hollywood studio movies do and that there are too many chefs in the kitchen trying to cook a cheese pizza and they all think their recipe is the best. What comes out is a mish mash of crap. I harp on their shit cause I really like the brand and it's painful to watch the screw ups. I bash on the "Stradale" edition because it's a marketing joke along with most of the 9,876 other Gallardo special editions. And, using "stradale". You think Ferrari would ever call any of their cars a moniker that Lamborghini used??? fcuk no, not a hoot in hell. It cheapens the brand and ruins re-sale. As Allan pointed out, the interior of these cars don't even compare to Ferrari or Porsche. How about taking a page from their book and adding some of your own uniqueness?? Not that tough. The Aventador. I'm going to be driving one soon so I still won't comment on that. But I still think it is fundamentally flawed by it's gear box and that is inexcusable in a car that costs 400K. It is also very showing that people are buying them and getting rid of them fast. If it was a unbelievable car, you would not see that happening. Before it came out, one of the execs told me that they weren't worried about sales for the first 18 months but after that they were still unsure. Sounds about right. I just read in this months Top Gear that Clarkson was speaking to one of the engineers while doing the Nardo episode and the car kept drifting left. The engineer said they had too many variations in sets of tires. Clarkson thought the same as me, that's insanity. The car was rushed into production and is suffering because of that. And the kiddy school fighter jet interior is just not it. You have 700hp, you need functionality not goofy graphics and buttons. I could keep going but it's just derivities of the same problems and more. They have a lack of a laser like focus. Knowing what your customer wants and building less so the demand is always there. Ferrari does it, Porsche does it, Pagaini does it. There is no reason Lamborghini cannot do the same.
