That is an idea but never thought to ask a Lambo owner to part out his car! We appreciate the help and ideas given so far. Just looks like this project was never intended to be easy. From my understanding the red "lfip" portion is part of the Lambo console so unless we buy the whole piece it's not available by itself.

We are looking to source some Aventador parts to do a custom build ~specifically we need the dash piece that houses the push button start unit. Can anyone here help put me in touch with a shop/salvage yard that may have a crashed Aventador? thanks!

So long story short, we want to thank Glen at AMH for his help. We were in need of a Aventador Push Button Start and through this forum, we were able to get in contact with Glen who ordered us the button we need from Lambo Parts directly. The problem is the Button does not come with the red flip cover which unfortunately is part of the dash little to our knowledge. He gave us this part: Part number 470919609 is panel and retails for $2199.31 Obviously we can't spend that much money for a new center console plate so we are back here asking for help once again. We need to find a used parts place that may have a crashed Aventador so we can source the little red lid that covers the start button. Any ideas? (I've tried all the car sites, Ebay, etc) TIA

We have a guy looking to install the Aventador start button into his Gallardo..... Went online but the one place we found emailed us back saying this cannot be sold by them but we would need to go to a local dealer. Do you guys have a source for buying Lambo parts online that is reputable? I've been quietly watching the Gallardo SE market (especially the 6-speeds) and they seem to be getting more rare by the day.... Values seem to be holding in the mid 180's for a nice low mileage car which isn't too bad but of course this is retail market price and not dealer pricing. I've driven a few E-gears from 04 - 06+ and none of them feel as exciting as a 6-speed so just looking at the market. Got my 997 GT3 but somehow it just lacks the "wow" factor of my Gallardo so I kinda miss that a bit....though the GT3 is in every way faster and more liveable/tossable opinions,? rick

wow nice looking ride....I'm up in norcal and talking to a few local dealers right now. I must have a 6-speed model in one of these colors: 1) Verde Ithaca Green 2) White 3) Yellow Prefer SE but can look at 05's as well....let me know. rick

I think most people here would pick the Gallardo cuz it's a Lambo forum - doh! But in reality, I would take a F430 anyday - just that I can't justify spending 75K over sticker for a toy that depreciates.... At sticker, it's a great deal but for 75K over, no freaking way! For normal people like me that SAVE SAVE for this dream car, I can't justify wasting that kind of money. M3's way back were going for 15K over and that is also a crazy premium to ask for a car. rick
