Powerboats have never really been of much interest to me. Something about being out on the water, dependent of the wind sounds just delightful. However, in saying that, I have never really "considered" a powerboat. Perhaps something I should look into. I am sure the wife would be happier.

Thank you everyone in this thread who contributed. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in the area with a sailboat, so I will have to find some local yacht clubs and see what kind of relationships I can manage. I am sure, however, that I can find someone in the area who can at least train us on what to do!

The wife and I are thinking of purchasing a sailboat. Something between 35' and 40'. Neither of us have sailed before, but we both like the option of going out on the boat for a few days and not coming back to the hustle of LA. Was curious if anyone on the forums here sailed, and if you could tell me your experiences, etc?! Thanks!

I tend to agree with this. Both drivers are at fault, but both seemed to overlook the other. Then, all hell broke out and the guy in the Gallardo faired the worst

Both I assume would be around mid/early 90's vehicles, hence thats what I put in the original. Doubt i'd find much newer for that price. Being as I am about to graduate college, I won't have much more than 35k to play with, and am trying to do the best I can here. So with 30k-ish mileage, and around that price, am I better with the viper or Acura. The car will not be for any sort of racing, I am not worried about straight line at all, so maybe the NSX will be better. I am just looking for a reliable one, and one that will turn a few heads.

Say your wanting to spend around 35k on an older sports car. Your two choices are a mid/early 90's Viper or mid/early 90's Acura NSX.....which do you choose and why??? I am contemplating one picking one or the other up soon, I think the viper is edging out the NSX right now, but tell me LP what you think!
