No, I think Jason is confusing the two Versace roadsters. The FIRST Versace roadster, the dark blue one, was auctioned off for charity - Elton John's AIDS Foundation. As I recall Vik from LOC bought it but was never able to sell it. The "Versace" stuff was removed, it was then just a regular roadster and sold (and was even owned by a member here for a while). It was after that that this white one was built, but it had nothing to do with the blue charity car.

Rob, they want $72,950 for that thing, you can get a very nice used 997 Carrera S for less, or a 997 Turbo for not all that much more.

Rawr, that Boxster Spyder you posted the link to is a nice car, but the top is a joke, it doesn't seal, there are huge gaps in the back. You can't drive it, or even let it sit out in the rain without the interior getting very wet. And on top of that the price is insane when you consider how little more you would have to spend to get a lightly used 997 Turbo. The current Boxster is a far better car than the older ones, but it will always be thought of as a girls car.

They're nice cars for the wife/girlfriend.

There is no GOOD answer, but middle America is full of "Good ole Boys" who wouldn't be caught dead in a "furrin" car. To these types, there are only 3 kinds of cars - Ford, Chevy, or Mopar. It may be a hideous, poorly built POS, but they'll sell every one of them, and probably at a hefty premium.
