  1. It is a feature found on all the GLS models with air suspension, not just Maybach. It is allegedly good for getting out of the sand when stuck according to MB
  2. Benz GLS or GLE in whatever power level you prefer
  3. I was in south FL for 3 days and literally saw about 100 of them. Clearly the demand is there...
  4. That may be the best road car exhaust note I've ever heard
  5. There are shops all over the country that build/fabricate cars and machinery from the ground up. Guarantee plenty of shops could easily fab something that would work just fine. May cost a few thousand dollars but it is better than sitting there looking at a car that can't run or drive. Get on the phone and make some calls
  6. Just find a local hydraulic hose company to remake them. That won't solve your damaged fitting problem though unfortunately. I own a Mercedes repair shop and we service a lot of 50's-80's Mercedes. Oil and power steering hoses leak all the time and are frequently discontinued so we just have them remade locally for a fraction of the price utilizing the existing fittings. Never had an issue. There is also no reason the entire line and fittings couldn't be custom fabricated, obviously at a higher price point.
  7. I don't have a Lambo but 280F seems very high. My 770hp S63 runs around 210F
  8. Huge difference between a vest and a plate carrier. Vest will stop pistol caliber rounds which will likely still cause severe trauma.
  9. I don't believe they do. Ceramic is great but can be fragile. Many companies now use a ceramic composite mix that is very thin, light weight and can sustain multiple hits. My personal level III+ setup only weighs about 10lbs, but cost almost $1,000
  10. DO NOT buy ar500 steel plates, there's a reason the military doesn't use them. They can get you killed due to the spall from the bullet as it impacts. rmaarmament.com makes the most affordable stuff I've found with decent lead times. Level III+ is likely all you need, Level IV (for armour piercing rounds) is overkill in most instances in CONUS. You want the lightest stuff you can find in your price range and threat level. As far as plate carrier Crye is top notch stuff as is London Bridge Trading Co. Also training using this stuff is highly recommended. It may not seem like a lot but an 18# plate/carrier setup will slow you down a fair bit unless you are in really good shape, not to mention it hurts mobility in certain situations as well. My best advice as a brick and mortar business owner myself is don't put your life on the line for insured property by getting into gun fights with guerillas
  11. I absolutely never said that, no vehicle manufacturer makes their own coils.
  12. Napa parts are trash and don't belong on a car of this caliber. I don't know any of the parties involved in selling any of these parts but I do own a high end auto repair shop and would never use Napa parts on anything other than a lawnmower or 1990s Honda. While the coils may appear the "same" as OEM they are not.
  13. If I recall silver was 001 and white was 031.
  14. A few other "interesting" cars I've had the pleasure to see and checkout extensively
  15. I was actually referring to the CLK GTR, not the CLK DTM. Had to get the pics off my desktop
  16. I own a Mercedes specialty shop on the east coast. We do everything from mid-50's to modern. The old stuff is cool, but the prices some are commanding now are insane in my opinion. I owned a 500E for a short time that I purchased from a customer when I first opened. I sold it within a week for 4x what I paid and reinvested the money into the shop. The green convertible in the pic was purchased for $250k. The white car is an original Hammer 6.3, unfortunately the customer didn't have the money to get it back into good condition. The last pic is about 4200 hp of modded cars we have done for customers. It was a weird coincidence they all ended up at the shop the same day together. As for my favorite the CLK Black was very high on the list, I'd have to dig up pics of that one. The 1 of 5 CLK GTR roadster I saw at a friends shop was insane also. My personal favorite at the moment though is my S63 coupe tuned to about 750hp. It just does everything well and is unbelievably fast in everyday driving
  17. Not a fan of the rear at all from the pics. Possibly in a different color it may look better, but not so sure.
  18. At this point why not just pull the rear cover and see what's going on inside? 99.9% of people have never seen inside a Lambo differential to give a qualified answer unfortunately
