This is 2006! Please, please more comfortable seats in both cars. There is simply no excuse why they feel like church pews with padding. And hide the child seat rings a little better as they detract from the lines of the seat.

What I meant by legal ramifications is that the owners/operators/moderator do not have any exposure to any liability for keeping the teens or kicking them off. I have not been here long enough to know whether they are such a nuisance or not, so I will hold back my comments, I only saw a few bright ones who had something to offer. I think that it is very easy to get rid of the annoying members on this site whether they are 15 looking for a ride in a Murci or 50 driving a Kia trying to sell us life insurance. The reason for my personal feelings one way or the other relate to the fact that I did not have anyone who could tell me about Magnum P.I.'s car, nor discuss why Sonny and Crocket went faster when chasing someone in a lambo rather than a kit car. Give them lofty goals now and maybe they will strive for greatness knowing that is the only way you will ever have one of these cars (that or selling drugs or inheriting all of grannies money!) I'm done.

As a former prosecutor who was involved with the prosecution of "bad people" doing "bad things" on the internet, I can say with confidence that this site can not be construed as harmful in any way to pre-18-year-olds. This site presents a)positive role models, b)positive values, and c)positive work ethics. While I can understad and appreciate those members concerns about the partial "adult" content on the site, and I agree that we adults should be concerned such content is unsuitable for pre-18ers, I would simply remind my fellow members that this is a car enthusiast site and WE have not place in posting such materials here. The reason we are here is not for "adult-only" dialogue - there are enough of those sites elsewhere. We come here because it is about the passion for that instrument in our garages and in our dreams. The same dreams that we are now curtailing in those bright kids who share our excitement - maybe in the one area where we actually do have a connection. If we are worried about exposing the teens to adult type material, maybe the real question to ask is what is such material doing here in the first place? This type of questionable content does little to enhance my enjoyment of this hobby. Then, we simply have to make a judgment call and deciee whether the site is enhanced more by the presence of some of these intelligent and contributing young people or is it made better by the bouncing boob posts and questionable language and dialogue? I think that taking away this resource to the younger generation a)hurts their sense of identity and belonging when it is very important; and hurts the future of the hobby that we are all so passionate about. Honestly, how many hobbies are there left that can be shared on this level? As the 15, 16 and 17 years olds learn about advanced automotive engineering concepts, practical applications of physics, and appreciation of another kind of beauty, of another knd of art - the kind of art that truly moves you (at 200+ MPH) -------where would we rather have them go? To a rap music website? To a video game website? To a porn site? I have been in front of dozens and dozens of judges both at the state and federal level - - - We all do not have anything to worry about should junior be "exposed" inadvertantly to an unsavory comment or image. Having the youth on this site does a far more realizable beneficial contribution to their education and after-school time does the off-key image or comment do to detract from it. But, I ask my fellow members who are in favor of banning the kids, what would you do if someone told you you were no longer allowed to talk about your favorite toy in the world? Your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/partner would no longer listen to ANY of your model specs, delivery dates, available options? You were no longer allowed to log on in a community dedicated to giving you the dialogue and information that you sometimes wait an entire day of boring stuff (work) just to get to? If there are isolated cases of teens that don't belong here - then the moderators use their discretion and kick them off --the same as should be done to some of the adults. If any member or sponsor or moderator would like to have a more practical conversation about the legal ramifications, I would be happy to explain the legalese. I, for one, feel strongly that the kids should be allowed to stay.
