I have had my a/c services by the dealer and when they were speculating as to the problem, they said there is some kind of sensor in the front that often goes bad or needs to be re-set. That didn't turn out to be the issue for me, but maybe that's the culprit.

I just bought the XPS15 and have had it for a week. I would not buy it again. It has two recurring errors that Dell has not resolved and apparently exist across all the XPS platforms: 1. Trackpad/mouse error. After the computer goes to screen saver mode or is locked and then unlocked, it puts up two empty pop-up windows for the CypressTrackpad software. The windows can't be closed. When the computer tries to come out of hibernation, it often gives a sysfile error and all work not saved before the hibernation is lost. I will give it another week before I shove it down their throats.
