  1. That's how a stock, out of the line, Huracan should look if Lambo wants to go bust. Look at the quality of those fenders, the lines, the tire size... as appealing as driving a sanctioned GT car ready to do Le Mans through LA on rush hour. This young crowd nowadays seems to think that manufactures should produce cars track focused, for that 0,1% of time that you use a car like this on the track. When I go on the track I use a car build for racing, that is maintained and handled by professionals. I don't want to try to use a street GT car out of the track, as I don't want to drive a race car on the roads. A car built for racing, even in the paddock is a hassle to manoeuvre, and it doesn't takes much to break a fender or a bottom panel. On the street I want to use a car with some form over purpose, that is aesthetically pleasant, and is all-rounder enough to drive in the city without breaking a fender or side sweeping someone while exchanging lanes... And there are enough aftermarket tuners that will tweek it up a notch if someone wants something more extreme. But suggesting Lambo should produce a car looking like this, with all that goes behind that, is just dumb. And although it looks agressive, this LW Huracan also looks that will perform like shit on a track, because those wheels and the alignment we're probably done on a tire shop in south central LA, and it goes around corners like a MACK truck...
  2. In Italy factories usually close totally on August for at least 15 days, some cases even the whole month. But in Japan it is usual for the offices to stay open even if production is halted. The girls in Thailand aren't that bad compared to the rest of southeast Asia... the only problem is getting a real girl. Even if you're only going for eating watch out for those ladyboys cause that Thai ain't no Vegas...
  3. He's on a roll for cornering the market...

    LeMans.

Congrats are in order for the Danish team of the Aston Martin #95 and for fellow LP member David HH in particular. It was a clear victory, and I doubt that they will stay in the GTE AM for much more time... I watched a great part of the race throughout the night and had the opportunity to catch some great racing moments with car #95 and with David in the cockpit. One in particular, around the 12th or 13th hour of race, and was when David caught himself in the middle of the battle for 1st place in GTE Pro, with the Ferrari #51 with Fisichella, the Aston #97 with Bruno Senna and Corvette#73 with Taylor. For some moments these four cars battled for position like it was a sprint race, with several over-takings and close calls. I'm curious to know if there was any team orders in the Aston Martin team, cause it didn't seem like there were when they were on the track. Bruno Senna had a tough time to get through David...
  5. The Pagani KS it set to become a very special car. Congrats to KS on the purchase of this automotive masterpiece. Too bad that he choose to leave this board, but from my knowledge, the attacks that he was subject due to his opinion on the P1 were a bit harsh if the defense of his opinion on the P1 was just the reason. It's not that his opinion is more valuable because he has more money. But on the Veneno subject, and other supercars for that matter, his opinion is more valuable than others because he has first hand experience on most of them. But having browsed this forum from some time it seems that, like Fortis said, there is more to the exchange between KS and AT, than the one that occured online... Probalby his opinion on the P1 was just the trigger... Moving on...
  6. It seems a bit odd to me that someone in this type of deals chooses text messeging as a form of exchaging information. It's the worse of two worlds: you dont't any feeling from the counterpart, like on a real time exchange, and you don't have the "set up in writing" advantage that you've got in a email or letter. It seems to only have downsides. On the other hand, it seems to come handy for posting them online...
  7. I guess that this announces that time of the year when every NY wannabe flocks to the Hamptons on the weekends to showoff their bad taste.
  8. In my opinion you're on the money. This situation was not casual vandalism, and was clearly aimed to this individual. Luton is one of the biggest shitholes around London. Very ethnic place, with lots of crime and setup like a ghetto. I lived in London for some time and only went to the Luton residential areas a couple of times, because of some cheapskates who thought that saving 800£/mo in rent would offset the "Luton way of life"... They quickly found out how wrong they were. I can say that once happily paid around 200£ to a chauffeur, to avoid the unpleasantness of having to drive there on a Saturday morning... This incident has the traces of a ordered crime within the muslim community. Arsoning is a pretty standard M.O. for retaliations among them in these suburbs. In Luton no innocent man parks a Aventador on the street... Had this guy stayed around Chelsea or Knightsbridge and the only gangs he would have to worry about would be the residents and the environmentalists...
  9. I have to congratulate you for this sets. This is an amazing photo... but I have a soft spot for the Veyron. If I owned that Bug I would frame that picture and hang it on the wall...
  10. Great photos and awesome cars... But I also think that the gate stands out in the photos. It has a very unconventional mechanism, as most of the gates with that style operate on hinges, instead of sliding on a rail to the inside of the wall... Some thought went into that gate, as it maintains a great aesthetic while closed, being functional on operation at the same time.
  11. Nowadays many car enthusiasts who used to play Legos as a kid think that tuning a car to exceed manufacturer specs is as simple as getting parts from a catalog and milling some fancy covers to brand the project... I guess that engineering and R&D still matter, as we can see by this case and many others around the world. These new "tuners" should assume themselves as part assemblers instead of builders and developers, cause when they start to enter in the engineering part of the business without the proper knowledge, things don't end well. Regarding this specific case, having a customer waiting for almost 1,5 years for a ordinary turbo kit in a Lambo is completely ridiculous nowadays. I predict that some others will be pulling out Huracans TT out of the shop before this so called Gallardo Stage4 hits the road... I guess that a customer with this tuner should access the age depreciation when negotiating the order...
  12. Now that's something that would be going viral on Youtube... Maybe he'll go for that next time. These guys taking pictures of cars are getting out of control around France and Spain... This year alone I can't count how many times I nearly ran over some loser trying to shoot up the vents, while cruising in the city or maneuvering in tight spots. The morons jump from the sidewalk to the middle of the street and stop traffic like they are the only ones in the world... Worst is when trying to reverse, and the camera in the back only shows some punk leaning while the motherfucker is trying to look inside the exhaust... In Europe running over one of these POS is hardly cause for a lawsuit, but I guess that in the US this could be something that a ambulance chaser would pursue, given who normally is on the other end.
  13. He was quite a character in those days... From the 70's till the mid 80's AK was portraying himself as the richest man in the world, thinking that would be good for business... His sprees, be it gambling, shopping or partying were always over the top. In Marbella, a place he helped to create the way it is today, he's still a topic for reminiscence for people in the Club, due to his lavish spending and for the attentive way he treated most of the people in his circle. At one point he had the biggest private yacht in the world, Nabila, moored in Puerto Banus throughout the high season and filled with A listers, be it royalty, tycoons or artists... AK alone was responsible for a big part of the RE boom that occured there in the 80's, fixing deals with Saudi royals and other petrol sheiks that drove prices of RE through the roof... Today AK is a shadow of what he used to be in terms of lavish lifestyle... the better property he had in Marbella was sold to Vladimir Putin, and nowadays he uses a relatively small house near Puerto Banus for when he is around.
  14. The moron filming this should get some common sense to realize that tailing someone with a camera aimed for 45min is bordering stalking... The guy in the A8 from the security detail was really calm... In other circumstances the stalker wouldn't get way with just a warning, but CPOs must be extra careful in the US due to litigation issues.
  15. You've said it all. These reviews only cater to day dreamers and statistics fanatics. The driving style the so called "reporters" use to base their reviews is something I only would do on a car that is fully prepared to racing, be it a touring car or a sport prototype... I guess that even when I raced a Radical Sr3 the tires never took a beating like the ones I see on "Drive". If found no pratical information on this review... and I guess that 99% of the owners who have a deposit on the Huracan feel the same. But personally I never found the appeal on going around the track on a car that's built to be used on the road... For the use he wants, wait for the Huracan Gt3 or Trophy.
