  1. I think youve summarised it correctly. NOTHING beats the sound of a Miura on open throttle, its looks are sublime, and a good SV is $750k to $900k. A truly benchmark sports car. Joe www.joesackey.com
  2. I think to buy it 'right' the range should be $95k to $105k. Joe www.joesackey.com
  3. With lots of cars for sale, its becoming a buyer's market. Joe www.joesackey.com
  4. The truth always comes out in the end doesnt it? Joe www.joesackey.com
  5. OK Peter, I checked the actual factory records and here goes; Your Countach 1121006 is part of the first batch of LP400S S1 cars built. The build sheet shows that it is the 153rd Countach built (this includes LP400S cars). It states that your car's build order was completed on January the 13th 1978 and the car itself was completed on March the 28th 1978. "Blu Acapulco Metallizzato" is the paint color. "Naturale" is the interior trim. Delivery only states "CH" for Switzerland, and now Im thinking this could possibly have been one of Sheikh Al Thani's cars as he was the big Lamborghini VIP client based in Geneva, BUT I cannot confirm the first owner as it is intentionally not mentioned. Thats it for now. Best, Joe www.joesackey.com
  6. Good humor is a gift bestowed upon few. Correct model-recognition is even rarer. The car in the image is a P400S :-) Joe www.joesackey.com
  7. It is in fact a well-known P400S that its ILOC-member owner mounted SV wheels on in the never-ending quest to emulate the SV look. Joe www.joesackey.com
  8. Peter, Sorry I forgot - will look up your records presently. Joe www.joesackey.com
  9. I agree about silver. Ive asked the owner if I can share....Im waiting to hear. Joe www.joesackey.com
  10. No. Its my black/black one. Joe www.joesackey.com
  11. Steve is just a cool guy who loved fast cars and he lives not far from me in California. He took one of his Countach to Bob Wallace who increased the redline to 9,000rpm. He then proceeded to drive it "as fast as it would go" :-0 He has calmed down a bit these days... Dan was a colorful character (ahem). Lets just say my freind Steve kept a close eye on his varied activities. He suffered an untimely demise and is no longer with us. Somebody wasnt very happy. Allegedly. Joe www.joesackey.com
  12. You know, a lot of good has come out of this and the lesson here is: dont speculate on what happened..... Till I got these records I did not know that my own LP400 was built on the 28th of May 1975 (I only knew it was May '75) for VIP client Giancarlo Bandiera who ordered it via Achilli Motors SpA in Milan. Now I know! Joe www.joesackey.com
  13. Aww. You are too kind by half.... Joe
  14. Fair comments. BUT, why dont we assume that the 3 incomplete cars were 30, 32 & 34? In FACT in my private collection of images I have 2 images of 1121034 inside the factory before it was pulled outside to the front gate where Sgarzi posed with it. Alongside it are a red/white car, and a black/white car. According to my investigations the nearest red/white car would be 1121030. The black/white car would have to be 1121028 as 1121032 was red/tan. Anyway, Ive given all I have and until proven I wont speculate on anything. Given the production time frames that Ive cros-referenced with multiple parties who built the cars, 1121036 was likely commenced in February of 1979 if it was ready on May the 11th 1979. The facts come slowly, but they all come in the end... Joe www.joesackey.com
