Not gonna happen. The c0rvette loyalists/old-timers would shit a brick.

:iamwithstupid:

The C0rvette will still have a front mounted pushrod engine in 2236.

I don't doubt it. If I were Bob Lutz, I wouldn't give a crap about the old timers. If a mid engine is better, then a mid engine it will be!

On a side note, I am really liking the new Camaro. And I'm not a big fan of "American Muscle" cars. But, I will not buy one because every douche bag will have one.

I had a new Cv back in 1990. I really doubt, the canned beer crowd, would like a mid-engine Cv.

Maybe Chevrolet has seen the "mid engine" light.

Mid engine is awesome, but I doubt it will happend and honestly having 25 cu ft of luggage space is a nice thing in a daily driver..

If it does go mid engine, you can store your luggage up front....no?

  • 1 month later...

Could they also mean "mid engine" as in having the engine behind the front wheels(middle-ish) and not behind the driver?

Im not sure but isnt the Merc SLR considered mid engine?

The new Camaro looks really kewl. Who cares if it is on every street corner ? It is only a matter of time, b4 they drop the Z oh six motor in that platform.

For the money, you cannot beat a 2002 996 X-50 TT.
