Damn...

The new king's of the twin turbo G's

congrats to UGR

Let's see how long their G's last abusing them drag racing.. Only time will tell

Running a car in the 1/4 mile, or upping your boost level hardly makes one the kings of the TT G's... Have 25+ and counting reliable cars running around... then you can be king...

With all that has transpired from the UGR boys performance at the

track with only two builds under their belt I would imagine they will

surpass the 25+ cars in a short amount of time... Oh, and reliability

would never be an issue.

Oh, and reliability

would never be an issue.

:iamwithstupid:

After 10+ hard 1/4 mile passes with everything intact, these cars should have no problem

with reliability under normal street driving conditions.

Well, Im gonna have to disagree... Saying that a car blasting out 160mph 1/4 trap speeds never having an issue is a bit of a stretch. God knows I hope that is the case, that would make the Gallardo the strongest and best built car in the world.

Im the first to say that 160 in the 1/4 is absolutely amazing, that makes a Veyron vs Gallardo tt race from a roll, comprable to what would happen if you raced a Murcielago and a VW GTI. However that number is merely a product of more boost, and several trips to the 1/4. You know as well as I do, in customers hands unless they turn the boost up themselves these cars arent running 160mph...

However it is good to know that the car did run that, and is capable of doing it.

All cars used at their limit will break something eventually.

Depending on the purpose, the "sweet spot" for most owners is to find a product that is a balance of max performance, quality and reliability.

Where a tuner wants his "sweet spot" is up to him. In regard to TT g's...it seems Heffner has found his successfully. Now its UGR's turn to find theirs.

If UGR raises the bar in all of the above areas...good for them, the competition, and good for all who consider one of these beasts.

No need to disagree Allan,

I never said “a car blasting out 160mph ¼ trap speeds would never have an issue”

I am stating that after two builds their car ran what it ran.

I can bet that not every customer that has one of these cars built

by whoever tuner is going to want to push the car to that level or

even want to drag race them.

With that being said reliability would never be an issue if a car of this caliber

is turned down a bit to it's "sweet spot" after making 100+ dyno pulls over 1K rwhp and

running 10+ killer ¼ mile runs.

Anything can happen when these cars are pushed to the limit.

My car blew the clutch on the 145mph run after only two passes

at the drag strip.

A question of reliability ? No not necessarily.

Here’s my take on Reliability everyone talks so much about.

For all we know Allan mine and your car both on high boost level may be a ticking

Time bomb.

Until a tuner takes and actually Blows one of these Monsters up

No one will ever know how much power they can actually handle safely.

Is there a point where the tuners feel comfortable at a set power level

they have had success with? YES

However, it very well may take someone doing this to find out where the power ceiling

exits. For all we know it very well may never blow up given a proper tune

Which would be really killer.

At that point we will all learn where the power limit may exist.

Do you then fix the limit issue or just simply know where to stop?

At that point the reliability question will be answered.

Thanks for your kind comments Allan but I have to disagree of you thinking "merely a product of more boost" If you think that is all it takes give it a try and let me know how you make out. Our cars are built to run at that level of performance. They all are being configured to run 160mph+ if the owner chooses to do so. Let me assure you that it takes more than "just boost"

Thanks, Kevin

Aslong as people who want to learn what exactly is the limit on someones car other than mine is alright by me! For now, im just trying to find some race gas to put in my car and see what 930rwhp feels like.

I agree 100% Jerry. Props to UGR for turning things up and testing the limits.

No the Gallardo TT is a awesome ride, but hard to compare to a LP640. They are so diffrent.

I would pick a factory new LP640 over a used G TT.... anyday!!! For me the Murcielago has the whole package, including a much HIGHER top speed. And here in Europe we drive really really fast.

In a perfect world... I would have one of each.

Much higher top speed.... not really... And by the time you hit top speed in the Murci, the TTG would have accelerated for 0 to 200mph 3x, and stopped for breakfast. :icon_mrgreen:

What does a 640 top out at? 209mph? And a GTT...200? Not enough of a difference to justify one over the other on that basis alone.

They're apples and bricks...and the Murcie is the brick :P J/K! I love both :)
