What was the bet again? And the new sig?

 

Allan, how about we make a friendly bet...

 

If I run a 6.6 or better, you have to add "I LOVE FADI'S SENSUAL BALL SAC" in your sig for 2 weeks!! if I run a 6.7 or worse, I will write the same with your name in it. Do we have a deal??

Just as a preclude as I dont want to spoil it for Fadi. It is 75 degrees and high humidity up there, and he still beat it by a good margin. Once it gets to the 30's-40's like the SLR time was run in, it WILL be a sub 6 second car IMO.

 

So a bolt on TTG is faster than a Renntech SLR. Who would have known? :shock: :lol2:

That SLk sucks. One of the worst cars I've ever driven. Good riddance.

 

ZR1 is a better car any day of the week. If there is ONE curve in the road its not even a contest.

Hey guys,

 

Just got back from making a few 60-130 runs.

 

75*, 80% humidity, little under half tank of gas, and 10 lbs. of boost. This VBOX stuff reminds me of the drag strip. The more you do it, the better you are going to get at it. So, here are the cliff notes..

 

Run 1: First time ever with this VBOX thing and the TT setup. Car spins in 2nd gear and I short shift into 3rd because I don't want to crash the car. Shift into 4th and I see a 6.6 60-130. "Poor Allan", I quickly thought to myself...:lol2:

 

Run 2: I feather the throttle a little so I don't spin and shift closer to redline (but not completely), shift into 4th, and I see a 6.4. Now I am thinking to myself this is a 6.2 sec car.

 

I let the car cool down for an hour..

 

Run 3: Get on it and spin the tires. Ahh hell with it, lets just keep on going. I WAY short shift (maybe not even 7K rpms, or right at 7K) and I see a 6.4 again.

 

I call it a day after that.

 

Conclusion? Spinning the tires and short shifting the car, it still went 6.4. Get rid of my bald ass tires that don't hook up (15K miles, stock tires still), give me 50* weather, and this car MIGHT be a 5.9 sec car. But, that is only hypothetical so who knows, and who cares!!

 

This can all be verified by Aaron as soon as he receives the data.

I still can't believe this was even a question. Considering I ran 7.10 as verified by achichelli in a 592 rwhp car on a dead FLAT road, the thought that a lighter car with over 100rwhp more wouldn't do better than 6.6 was ridiculous. I was thinking more like 6.1 or 6.3 but 6.4 all the same. Enjoy the new sig.

Congrats on the time! It was strange to even see the comparison between the GTT and the SLR. It was kind of a no brainer which was faster. Did Allan ever officially agree to put that in his sig??

Since there are/were so many threads about this car, I'll just ask here. Sorry the hijack the thead.

 

This is a bolt-on right? What is done to the car to accommodate the additional power? Does this mean you can't buy a beater G to TT?

ZR1 owner had to work. He works all weekend, so I wont be able to get any numbers from him. Only other numbers was a modded liter bike that went 5.3.
