The CLS is ok. The AMG CLS is hb

MB quality has slipped, so Im not a fan. Its not bad, just not something Id get. In this strange looking segment, I would rather have the Jag XJR, and mod it a bit. Or the V12 maser coming.

I agree in the MB quality. They are a mass production company and sell everything.

I'm getting an M5 instead. I thought the CLS was pretty but neither a roomy sedan nor a sporty coupe. Great to look at, though.

I saw the car in person, for what it is it is very well executed. But like expected the rear room ins very tight.

Many car reviews (not all biased in favor of Mercedes....) agree on the fact that the CLS E55 is much more confortable, and that even the harder set-up of the CLS is more confortable than the softer set-up of the E60 M5.

 

So what do we have here in conclusion?

 

A new M5 with good performances, but still useless on a track because of the poor brakes that would fade away in a few turns, and the average performance on the Ring (which is a very long track, which means that on shorter tracks we usually find, the weight will be even more penalizing), and less confortable than a Mercedes for long trips.

I believe that BMW should rethink their strategy... what is this car made for?

 

Ps: I haven't ordered nothing i'm gonna try one this week-end in my rainy country-side !!
