StoleIt Report post Posted June 1, 2011 I "duracoat"... Pretty easy and fun too! One piece of advice... Dont mix duracoat in plastic dixie cups.... Something in Duracoat causes the plastic in dixie cups to melt.... And then the duracoat pours out the bottom of the melting cup onto the patio floor... And then it occurs to you that Duracoat dries really fast and hardens to a diamond like finish.... So you spray it with a garden hose, thinking that will clean it up before it dries, but then you realize that just spreads what was a small puddle of duracoat so that it evenly stains the entire patio... And then you have to get down on your hands and knees and scrub the concrete clean with sandpaper and turpentine before your wife gets home and shoots you with the gun you just duracoated. Not that thats ever happened to me.... Haha win. Do you have any pics? I am warry of duracote also. I am kind of anal when it comes to color matching...so I really want the upper/lower to match the FDE furniture that will be attached to it. SCL_Blackbird Report post Posted July 7, 2011 And here she is finally in all of her NFA glory. Very nice. Can you thread the barrel and attach a silencer? That should make it even more fun.

Kevin2772 Report post Posted July 7, 2011 Doesnt need a thread.... HK 3 lug barrel.... Suppressors are legal in Indiana. My brother just got a suppressor for his 45. Dont know if you saw the pictures on my facebook of it, but regardless for some reason it just makes shooting that much for fun. Some people at the range seemed to think we would get in trouble but the game warden didnt bat an eyelash besides checking the tax cert. My one brother in law owns a Mossberg 500 and my other one owns the Remingtin 870. Between myself and a buddy we have another 500 and an 870. The Benlli is a NICE gun (my dream shotgun is their supersport model) but I don't think you are compromising at all by choosing a Remington over a Benelli. For what it is worth I LOVE my Mossberg 500 Tactical with the 6 position M4 stock.

For me it would come down to how many shotty's you have. You only going to have one get the remington (my benelli works like a dream but I have had a failure on it once, never on a pump shotty). You got 2 or more in the collection get the benelli.

SCL_Blackbird Report post Posted July 21, 2011 Yeah thats a sweet rifle. that or the M99, the single shot version of it. They had both of those rifles for sale at our local gun store. The M82A1 was $9,000 and the M99 was $5,000 I think the .416 would be a better long range hitter than the .50. Flies faster and it's cheaper.
