RayFong Report post Posted June 14, 2010 So my mother in law gave me this old pocket watch. It doesn't seem to run now, but it's pretty cool. I just need a chain, a cain and a monocle then i'll be set. Does anyone know anything about this watch? I tried looking up Oscar Machado but couldn't find anything. 57udl3y Report post Posted June 14, 2010 i think Oscar Machado is just someone who had his name engraved on the watch, for the watch itself it looks the exact same as these and seems kinda valuable. http://www.trocadero.com/stores/2ezr/items...item658957.html http://global.ebay.com/ULTRA_RARE_OMEGA_GR...0524307866/item just two quick links i found
Richard Wallace Report post Posted June 14, 2010 I have had and sold 2 of these in the past several years. In working order they will go for 600 - $1000. The name on back as mentioned was the original owner or whomever received it as a gift. Typically unless it was owned by someone famous, or historical significance - it actually lowers the collectible value. In non-working order with the above in mind - if you were to sell it as is, you would be most likely at the $400 range. It is worth looking to see what the repairs needed to get it working as it may be something minor and can raise the value significantly if running.
