**PICTURES** Underground Racing Race Version LP 560 standing mile TT Gallardo

Recommended Posts

Wow, that thing is all business! A bit too extreme for my taste, but it's nice to see someone using a cage down the mile. It's just a question of time before someone gets hurt in the mile event. A tire can pop and it's pretty much GG for the person driving.

The intake looks nice, but it should be painted matt black or get polished like the rest of the engine bay IMHO.

Are there any other benefits with the billet intake? Is the porting better or can it just handle more PSI? Was this a problem on the old mile car? That the intake blew up because it was plastic?

We have never tested a plastic or TT LP 560 at the mile. We saw it as a potential problem being that the top of the 560 intake is glued on from the factory. Not sure that would hold up long at the boost level we plan to push the TT 560. If there is ever any problem with the longevity boosted stock intakes on the TT LP 560 street cars we have the answer with the Underground Racing billet intake. As far as performance differences, we have no back to back dyno #s at this time.

That cage looks great I can't wait to see mine in! The Texas mile will be fun this year with all the sick cars that are supposed to attend.

Kevin, what is your "goal" with this car at the Mile? In other words, what number would make you happy? :)

Peter
