It turns out, he really is a superhero.

This is a facebook post from a good friend of mine. We have known this guy for years and we've always known that he is a good person, but this really was great to read.

 

"Today i went to the park with my daughter and we met a young guy named Jake. He was counting rocks in the sand by kids playing on the swings and play-set near by. My heart spoke to me and guided me to go over to him. He had a beautiful face and a gentle voice, I asked him his name, age and birthdate. He responded in a child like voice and demeanor..."January 31st, 23, 23". I hung out with him finding and counting rocks, we were up to 530 rocks. The largest rocks were the size of a dime and the smallest were the size of a grain of sand. He would ask with a grain of sand in his hand "Is this a rock"...then he would ask what number we were on. As i walked around the play-set this lady yells to me "VooDoo Cowboy, VooDoo Cowboy" (that was on my shirt). I walked over to her, kind of knowing she was with Jake. She walked straight up to me and gave me the biggest hug and held on tight and said "Thank You, many blessing coming to you" We shared a bit with some tears on the side and said goodbye. I went to say goodbye to Jake and juked my ego and ask Jake for a HUG. He smiled and said "sure" I put my arms around him and he nestled his head into my chest. Jake showed me more grit than i understand. He has no legs, and one arm that has some damage. He opened up my heart and branded me for life.
