Good luck.. Impossible to find, and usually any car in these model years that would be worth buying will not end up at auction..

This needs to be stickied or something.

MMR is not a value bible. It is what bad cars can be bought for when they need to be sold immediately. The value of good (exotic) cars is not reflected in MMR.

Edit -

That being said, I'd stay away from the 99s and get a proper 6.75L V8... Here are the numbers for MY2000 Red Labels -

06/30/10 CEN FLA Lease $34,000 45,400 Avg BLACK 8G A Yes

07/06/10 ARENA Lease $20,900 75,817 Below SILVER 8G A No

10/28/10 MANHEIM Regular $38,750 30,369 Above BLACK 8G A Yes

11/23/10 ARENA Regular $35,500 42,459 Avg BLUE 8G Yes

12/17/10 NEVADA Lease $33,000 46,749 Avg BLUE 8G A Yes

02/25/11 NEVADA Regular $22,700 67,101 Below SILVER 8G A Yes

You can bet that when the condition is listed as only "Avg", it's either not a car you'd want, or one that will take a good amount of effort and expense to get right. Every once in a while there can be a diamond in the rough, but that's the exception to these prices, not the rule.

So what would a car considered average be like, as an average?

Mine is perfect. As new. 21000 miles.

I wouldn;t sell it for less than 45k.

If I sell it it is ONLY because I might be buying the new Maclaren.

Having just completed a 3200 mile tour of UK, Germany, Italy and France I will write it up later, to sum it up the car and comfort were unbeatable. I saw only one other Arnage T500 in Monaco and it had flagstaffs on it, with flags !!

Drove the Col de Torini ( in the rain ) fantastic but the car was a bit long for the tight bends. (Pics)

See pics for the entrance to the FI GP tunnel at Monaco

I tested the fuel economy twice. Once leaving here for Madrid, this is virtually all uphill, a slow climb up to the central spanish plain, we achieved exactly 16.4 MPG. On from there to Santander which is mountainous but fairly level for most of the way, we achieved 19.6 MPG ( UK Gallons ) The speeds on these parts were about 70 to 90 MPH cruising with empty motorways.

I Germany on the unlimited sections of the autobahns i got to 150 MPH briefly and about 100 MPH average, the fuel then was about 12.8 but not so accurate as before. The fuel capacity of the tank gave a good long distance capacity. The cost of fuel in France, Germany and Italy made me very happy to fill up again in Spain. Also in Italy ( home of Ferrari Lambo etc ) it was sometimes difficult to get 98 octane fuel which the Arnage needs ( but they say you can use 95 for one tankful )
