pockmark Report post Posted May 3, 2011 I like how you say that so nonchalantly All jokes aside, it really rubs me the wrong way that we give BILLIONS to countries that-Harbor terrorists, don't want us to be there to help them, hate what we stand for, etc., and our economy is in the dumpster. We are cutting all public sector state jobs-police, fire fighters, teachers, etc. Unemployment is at or above 10% nationwide. States like California are sending taxpayers IOU's because they can't afford to pay them. We have a huge immigration problem. Education and Healthcare are in the toilet. We are TRILLIONS upon TRILLIONS of dollars in debt. We are not going to have social security soon. We have a socialist president. We are owned by China. I can go on and on and on. It reminds me of that family member that is unemployed, and has $30 in their bank account that goes out and buys a $280,000 home and a mercedes. YOU DON'T SPEND MONEY WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE IT TO SPEND!!! I want to see us have a $15 trillion dollar surplus. I think we need to let all other countries fend for themselves and stop being big brother. We can't afford it anymore. Especially when they knowingly are harboring the same people who are killing us in the Middle East and in our own country. Many wont agree with me, but thats my 2 cents. WheelsRCool Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Many wont agree with me, but thats my 2 cents. A problem though is what happens if Pakistan's nuclear arsenal fell into the hands of terrorists? No easy answers with these things unfortunately.
pockmark Report post Posted May 3, 2011 A problem though is what happens if Pakistan's nuclear arsenal fell into the hands of terrorists? No easy answers with these things unfortunately. At the end of the day, if a well funded terrorist wants nukes they can get nukes. OBL had hundreds of millions of dollars. If he wanted to buy a nuke, or take one, he could have. Pakistan obviously knew he built a freakin compound right outside the capital. What is to say they haven't made a deal for nukes already. pockmark Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Earlier, an ISI official told the BBC's Owen Bennett-Jones in Islamabad that the agency raided the compound in Abbottabad, just 100km (62 miles) from the capital, when it was under construction. It was believed an al-Qaeda operative, Abu Faraj al-Libi, was there. But since then, "the compound was not on our radar, it is an embarrassment for the ISI", the official said. "We're good, but we're not God." COMPLETE BS.

The difference probably is that Pakistan has the capability to launch them.

Chimay52 Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Resisted but unarmed as it appears now... Anyway, we will never find out the true story. I don't know, I kind of like the story we have now. Guy who has killed thousands of innocent civilians, always from a far, cowering in the corner grabbing a woman to hide behind and the US sniper puts a bullet through his head. That's kind of entertaining.
Ascari_2 Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Example? Really there are only a few, but the idiots stand out pretty well. Few examples are: US and their allies have no more excuse to deploy forces in the Middle East under pretext of fighting terrorism. We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior. We ask God to offer him mercy with the true believers and the martyrs. We regard this as a continuation of the American policy based on oppression and the shedding of Muslim and Arab blood.

Mako Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Interesting tidbits out of the massive info onslaught: - The white house knew he was at that location as far back as March, Pentagon asked for permission to drop precision weapons from the air on his nuts but Obama refused citing that they needed a body and confirmation to prove the kill, which couldn't be guaranteed with an airstrike. - The chopper that crashed during the operation had some advanced modifications done to it that haven't been publically disclosed yet, with possible low-observable (stealth) or noise reduction/heat dispersal gear added on: ... ralfabco Report post Posted May 3, 2011 ACTUALLY.... Wikileaks HAS released a lot of VERY damning intel that has shown how The pakis have been playing both sides for a very long time. No doubt about it. From what I read; second only to Nigeria, Pakistan is the most corrupt nation on earth.
Smash Boy Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Anyway, we will never find out the true story. I agree....we will never really know what happened. Given how it's been almost 10 years since this kill OBL mission started, it throws a lot of doubt in my mind why it's taken so long and if he's been dead longer than this. Nobody outside of a few select people in the US government really knows what has happened....not I, anyone on this forum, in the streets, etc.

ralfabco Report post Posted May 3, 2011 The U.S. missed a chance, if the special operations command, walked into the compound and killed the aq spiritual leader. obl would have eventually provided detailed information, on how the different aq organizations operate. I would hope, they had captured him months ago, and disposed of his body, only after a significant amount of intelligence had been extracted from him. It is nothing unusual, for a light infantry unit, to practice assaulting an enemy position, in an effort to extract and bring back, a live enemy captive. This type of mission, is practiced all the time. It would be foolish, for the mission of the Seal Team, to assault the compound, and immediately kill obl. Why not take him into custody and then dispose of the body ?

I'll buy a one way first class ticket to any shit dump that ends in "stan" for anyone who wants out of the USA. political correctness, give me a break, he commits mass murder of innocent people, unarmed, defenseless men and women, young children and when we finally catch the bastard and execute him we should hold a moment of silence for the scumbag? OBL's actions took millions of innocent lives and people shouldn't celebrate? Are you kidding me? I love how Americans deal with it, imagine if they didn't, these scumbags would take over the world. Thank you USA

I think there is a lot more to this story, and we will not know much more, and the gov-t needs to be careful with the details. I would never let the unarmed comment out personally. No ifs ands or buts about it. 2- In what reality does that fcuking hovel qualify as being a "mansion", let a lone a million dollar mansion? The fcuking place was a SHITHOLE!
