Do not lke stick on half ass solution.

it will be neither actually... the full replacement paddles wouldnt really be possible as the way they connect is very intricate and the steering wheel has to come off etc. the way we will make them will be a sort of clam shell with set screws... i think you guys will like what we come up with, i can tell you it will NOT look like it was an afterthought.

awesome! ill start a group buy thread once i have the prototype back and approve it!

Steering wheel is really quick actually to remove. I don't see it as a problem but the clamshell sounds ok

i agree, i just cant imagine the majority of owners will want to do it.

In case anyone was wondering, the process to something like this goes like this:

· Mock up for reference for solid modeling (done)

· Create the first 3D model in CAD – print in 3D on 3d printer

· Test fit and refine/ make changes to 3D model in CAD

· Create the second prototype- print in 3D for validation

· Test fit. Approve the overall design

Once we have the final design approved, we can decide on material/ quantity

you didnt see the pink paddles on the previous page :lol2:

Can't wait for the group buy!

Me too, count me in!

once we print a set in plastic i think we'll be able to get a better idea of cost so that i can put a group buy together!

David,

Unless you are extending the paddles further down, what is the purpose of curling around the stalks? You won't be able to reach it there and it looks like it could get in the way when turning the wheel.

I'd maybe look at curling behind the stalk and then further down or just extending it upwards only.

its really not exciting , and they're +/- 20% done, but ill throw a go pro on them and do a time lapse when they're done. (the entire process to print them is 7-8 hours, it would be a HUGE file)
