Beautiful!

That is THE watch hubby would like to have....

A friend of ours had one (inherited from his Dad) and he punched a wall in a bar and

when he pulled his fist out the watch was gone. Didn't realize it till later,

and since he's no longer welcome in NY he wrote it off (this was a LONG time ago).

It was long ago, and it was BUFFALO (but they told him not to come back to NY State).

He moved to Chicago, then FL, then Germany....where he married a nice German girl (lawyer) and sells wine.

By far the craziest, most insane person I've ever known (in both good and bad ways).

BTW - welcome back!

I was really surprised when I found out just a couple of weeks ago that the guy Patek was actually Polish :)

Polish watchmaker Antoni Patek started making pocket watches in 1839 in Geneva, along with his fellow Polish migrant Franciszek Czapek. They separated in 1844, and in 1845 Patek joined with the French watchmaker Adrien Philippe, inventor of the keyless winding mechanism. Patek Philippe & Co was founded in 1851.
