peakcompletions Report post Posted April 13, 2012 Well, my latest FGT project is done thanks to a consolidated effort by several shops working together First of all thanks to Shelby at Elite Autos for getting me the perfect 200 original mile car that I was looking for and for completing stage 1 of the conversion. This included the new Butterfly Door System and the complete Kip Ewing Carbon Fiber interior conversion. The quality of installation and workmanship from Shelby's shop is absolutely top notch and when it leaves there you know it is perfect. From there the car went to Heffners for the latest generation twin turbo setup. A bolt on kit which is capable of much quicker spool and a higher HP rating on pump than the kits I had done in the past. The car then went to Alex and the SP Boys to work the Chinaman magic and Premier came in and did a full satin wrap to achieve the mean and clean look I wanted with the red and white paint scheme. I have never seen another matte red and white paint scheme like this and was really excited about the possibilities of the outcome. Finally, the car went full circle back to Shelby at Elite who finished the car off with a full Alcantara conversion for the interior and the installation of the GT GUYS upgrades which included going through the turbo kit setup and making some slight tweaks and additional upgrades. The end result is nothing short of fantastic and I hope you enjoy the pics. Currently I have new ADV 20" rears coming which will replace the wheels and hoosiers on the back and have street tires for daily use Here is a brief overview of the mods: Full Matte clear wrap Butterfly Door kit Bumper delete kit Bumper Delete Exhaust ADV / Heffner Center Bolt Wheels Ceramic Brakes Upgrade Heffner Twin Turbo System Penske Shocks Kip Ewing Full Carbon Fiber interior pkg Custom Alcantera Interior Double Din Radio with nav, reverse camera, etc Billet Brace Bars in Black THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED FOR SUCH AND INCREDIBLE QUALITY BUILD! If you drive them the GT can be a bitch to get out of in parking spaces. The door conversion (which runs like $10grr) makes this car much easier to live with from what I have seen personally. Have a couple of other cool projects that will come to light soon as far as the doors, a true gullwing would be way cool but no one has attempted that yet with the roof structure. I wanted to try these doors as the new engineering on them is incredible and wanted to try something different.
