MITengineer Report post Posted October 18, 2004 Simple Question Complicated Answer. I have several candidates for that: Ferrari F40 : The definitive Supercar, a thoroughbred race horse without even carpet. McLaren F1: 232mph, 0-60 in 3.2, and holds golf bags. Bugatti Eb110 SS: Quad Turbo V-12, none of the GT's softness SE30: The original Bad Boy Diablo Porsche Carrera GT: Triple Plate Clutch for lower Center of Gravity. Lotus Elise: Light Weight, huge punch. Cars I wouldn't consider and explanations opf why. Ferrari Enzo: Electronic Gizmo's, overweight, 10 years too late. Bugatti Veyron: Too much emphasis on huge power, insiders claim that it handles like an overweight Audi TT. Lamborghini Murcielago: Development of Diablo, nothing revolutionary. Feel free to add to the poll

rovingtravler Report post Posted October 19, 2004 It really is a loaded question. are you talking about looks, performance, value per dollar etc. The ultimate value is probably a Ultima, the top performacne Mclaren F1 maybe Ultima, but not all around. overall drivability maybe F40
MITengineer Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Which car sets the benchmark in performance. IE which car has or started the devoted mission to performance above all. Price is irrelevant.
jamesketchell Report post Posted October 19, 2004 I voted MF1, but the new koenigsegg is after its title of top speed. According to EVO mag this month they are going for the 250mph at the nardo ring next year. http://www.koenigsegg.com/thecars/index.asp?submenu=
