Further to my email yesterday I have outlined the total cost per car and met the requirements listed in the initial enquiry.

The price above includes a 1200 mile allowance to cover the whole trip and fully comprehensive insurance for two named drivers per car. The cars will be delivered to the location specified and you will receive a full handover ensuring you are confident with all of the vehicle controls.

once all the offers are in I will put them on a spreadsheet and send them to all interested parties, one thing to consider most of the rental companies have very limited stock, two to three cars maximum.

Bologna: the best is by far the Majestic, former "Grand Hotel Baglioni", in the historical center of the city, via Indipendenza. I would keep this hotel also for the night after Sant' A g a t a meeting, as there are just 25 miles. There are not good hotel near Sant' A g a t a, better stay in Bologna. Persico Hotel in San Giovanni in Persiceto (five or six miles from S. A g a t a) is the best close to the factory, but poor if compared to Bologna Majestic.

 

Rome: i would choose the Raphael, very famous as former prime minister Bettino Craxi lived there and pornostar Moana Pozzi (and others...) went to visit him in this Hotel. Also this hotel is in historical center of the city.

Forte dei marmi: i hate this place so i do not know anything about hotels there.

 

Milano: Very expensive, not worth the money, choose want you want but better staying close to Piazza Duomo, one of the very few places in Milano that deserve a visit, by walk, of course.

Thank you for all the info, Fortis! By September 23rd I should be able to fully confirm whether I will be shipping one of my cars or if I will be renting. I can also confirm hotel and other logistics then too. It all depends on how Lamborghini handles; car shipment, pricing, insurance, dock departure location, hotel choices, rates, where everyone else will be staying, etc. Regardless, I will definitely be attending.

 

I look forward to meeting all of you and doing some driving and dining together.

BTW most of us will need a luggage transport car, I will fly one of my guys over to follow us, the type of car we will rent will depend on the number of luggage we will have to cart around so if any of you are interested please let me know.

 

As we are getting closer to the date and options get settled I will put all details in an easy to read spreadsheet.
