Robster Craws Report post Posted September 18, 2012 If this is not a joke, my prediction this dude will be chilling with swil soon Swil made claims that he owned a car that he didn't. Wiggs owns a car and has done extensive mods and has stated his goals. Not really seeing the connection here.

donblackie Report post Posted September 18, 2012 Swil made claims that he owned a car that he didn't. Wiggs owns a car and has done extensive mods and has stated his goals. Not really seeing the connection here. If you recall, wiggs made a ton of claims about how revolutionary his build was going to be and how he was going to wipe UGR cars off the map then he rolls this in. I don't need to see a Dyno sheet or even need to see it start to tell you the on the things I can see are half ass. If the things you can see are that bad, what about the things you can't see?!? It's obvious you are his friend. He came across as a moron in that video. Joking about pulling out emissions from the car but blaming EPA for not being able to start it? Explain this one? The correlation to swil will be the fact that he made such an ass of himself, you won't see him much on the forums. That's my prediction. I'll make that bet and I have already won. He stated his build will be NASA level engineered. Those welds look like play dough, so he has already failed. Robster Craws Report post Posted September 18, 2012 I think its a bit early to make that statement about something that doesn't even run Just as I think all the statements about how his company will never be able to compete with other tuners before his car has even been completed & statements about how an unfinished project looks like are a bit to early to make too. Listen,im not Wiggs white night that is trying to vouch for the build or build his reputation...I just think the group dog pile is very silly. Do I need to pull up a picture of Allans Heffner build when it was first installed before it was finished?

The absurdity to unveil a non-working product is either the work of delusion and/or arrogance of comical levels. Apparently we are supposed to be mesmerized about fictional performance claims he has made up (on a timeline that he failed to remotely meet). All of this after completely trashing people who produce a real product that is operable and deliverable. That alone deserves ridicule in my book. Lets not forget before he decided to start his own turning company, he started the project at a shop that boasts previous creations such as this:
porter Report post Posted September 18, 2012 Reiterating my first statement I hope it works out for David. Even netting 1000 horse crank is fantastic. I am not expecting confirmation of 2000 ever. He is opinionated but pipedream or not he's trying harder than 99% out there. Bottom line - ride him hard but keep it less than malicious. D.Wiggs Report post Posted September 18, 2012 Wow. It’s really nice to know that so many people care about the build! I do think it’s sad that so many of the people who are criticizing the build don’t seem to have a clue in hell as to what they are even looking at! Lol I think one of the best compliments is the fact that people haven’t noticed (or at least commented about) the Upper Plenums. I guess that’s what happens when you engineer it that well and have 262 hours of 5-axis machine time into the solid block of aluminum! Same goes for the gauge cluster. I will address a few points, some of which are valid, about the build, unveil etc. I didn’t want to release it at all until we are finished in a few weeks. The deadline was moved up because of Pittsburgh Cars & Coffee Hangar Party which CTD was sponsoring. We said that the car would be there and we weren’t going to balk on that commitment. I’d rather show up with what’s done so far, than not show up at all. That’s not how I do business nor the company. I had planned on releasing it on LP simultaneously with the car show but that couldn’t happen. I also wasn’t sure if I was allowed to since CTD’s sponsorship doesn’t start for another 6 months. The EPA is responsible for the delay because they mandate the sale of aftermarket ECUs (as well as OEM ones). That’s just the way it is. The irony isn’t lost on us; but that’s just a fact of life. The ECU will eventually be released to the public for sale and the car will be complete. The cold-side charge pipes were the mock-up set because the completed set was not back from coating. They had to be re-done as they weren’t up to spec and so we had to go with what we had. If you look at the pics of the final welds, I think you will find that there is not a finer weld out there. There are no hose clamps for 2 reasons. (1), they clutter the engine bay and we were showing off the design and engineering of the build and (2), they aren’t needed. They are V-banded at the other end so they are locked into place and couldn’t go anywhere no matter what happened. Again, a reasonable point but not a valid criticism when privy to all of the facts. “Yellow speakers”!?!? Really? How does one NOT know about Focal, literally the world’s best car speaker. That is their signature and ONLY color. You gotta love beryllium cones! The exhaust tips that were shown were simply the stainless mock-ups and were not attached to the aluminum grill because that’s not the final exhaust. The final exhaust was being laser etched because its raw titanium. We wanted to highlight the different exhaust (and homage to Ferrucio’s love of honeycombs) by doing it white. We saw the face it makes and it’s absolutely HYSTERICAL! LOL! Last thing was the speech. There is valid criticism there. I was fcuking fried. We put in 120 hours Monday through Saturday. You do the math there. I was in no condition to say what my name was let alone give a presentation and it showed. It is what it is. There was no way we weren’t going to show up when we said we would. The car will speak for itself when it fires shortly (keylessly no less! ) and then goes on to do dyno runs. The fact is there is no Murci, or any other Lamborghini outside of a race team that even comes close to the level of precision engineering, R&D, and revolutionary design of this car. Period. Below is just a brief description of a few of the components that have been changed, modified, redesigned, etc. As you can see, no matter what state I (or anyone other than my lead engineer) was in, I wasn’t going to remember all of this. There is a huge difference Rob, those cars are not being rolled into a hanger to be unveiled. Those cars do not have a badge stating horsepower claims that are yet to be verified. Can you not see why he is getting such negative press? If it was just an update video with him showing his work in progress, I'd keep my mouth shut. But this was not the case..... abolfaz Report post Posted September 18, 2012 David, glad to see you back. Personally after years of doing what you just did (with yachts) I would never show an unfinished product again. I can't tell you how many times we pulled weeks of all nighters to get a yacht into a show that wasn't finished only to have a shows worth of hacks pointing out deficiencies that we were all too aware of that would have never been allowed if the vessel was finished under normal circumstances. Just not worth the bad press as well as having the item forever branded. Regardless, best of luck to you.

I definitely agree that unveiling it just before it was finished was less than optimal; however, we simply couldn't back out of the occasion. When the numbers come out, none of that will matter anyway!
donblackie Report post Posted September 18, 2012 You called it! Lol He showed up with a bunch of excuses....so? Swil took awhile to make a complete ass of himself as well. If he doesn't make 2k HP and rape UGR cars, he made an ass of himself in my book. Those were his claims, and as he noted in his post, he's a man of his word.
