joebiz Report post Posted December 10, 2012 I'm hunting a gift certificate for a performance driving school, something that a good driver who has never been on the track can really get a good weekend out of. Don't want to spend a fortune, because I don't know if they'll like it. Any great or terrible experiences?
Hollywood996 Report post Posted December 10, 2012 I did the skip barber schools when I was younger, and then raced in the skip barber series. Highly recomended!!

Ag02M5 Report post Posted December 10, 2012 I did the introductory and advanced racing schools with skip barber at laguna seca. The first time around I thought it was the most amazing thing ever. I wasn't as impressed the second visit but it was still ok.
sprite Report post Posted December 10, 2012 I did the 4 day Bondurant one in AZ and it was a lot of fun. It's not exactly cheap though.
Smash Boy Report post Posted December 10, 2012 Haven't done a driving school myself, but from what I've observed it seems like Bondurant is better than Skip Barber.
Destructo Report post Posted December 11, 2012 Buy a BMW and take their high-performance driving school in South Carolina, I took the M-performance course and had more track time than I knew what to do with, which is a rarity. I swore i read in one of my magazines recently that the BMW school is no longer free if you buy a car because they have so much demand already from paying customers.....I may be wrong, but i swore that was what it said.
