How much to pay for a TWIN TURBO GALLARDO?

BigBadLambo,

UGR is currently on top of their game. They are pumping out these TT Lambos like they are going out of style. Eventually they will flood the market and a ton of UGR Lambos will be for sale and once the Cabrera is released and Aventador goes out of warranty, as mentioned before. It looks like you have some Vipers, so you know damn well what you get for your mods lol!

I wasn't badmouthing Kevin or UGR. I was just saying usually people who get Lambos can afford to move on to the next best thing even though they might lose a few dollars on this. Once these guys move on to the next thing couple that with UGR doing these cars for 10 years and you will start to see some prices come down. Simple economics.

UGR makes well built cars and I wouldn't think twice about my dealings with UGR. Kevin and I have talked several times and him and I both know the history of my car and the previous owner. I will head down to Charlotte, to look at some cars in the near future. I am a little scared cause I am going down there to look at Gallardos and I might just walk out with a TT Aventador.

I wondered how this thread blew up to 3 pages all of the sudden. I see Slowpoke/UGR is back in and we are in the middle of the reliability debate. About as exciting as the disaster know as the RHersey thread right now.

To the OP. How much to pay? Pay what you want. It is as simple as that. You aren't going to go in to any discussion on a used TT and suddenly talk them down by throwing numbers and stats at them on previous sales. This isn't a commodity were you can show 15 cars that are the EXACT same that just sold for 10-15% less then they are asking.

Find a car that you like the price on and jump on it. If you are looking for a smoking deal it probably isn't going to happen.

Good luck with the search and I hope you find one. I rode in a UGR TT and it was the scariest ride of my life. Freaking INSANE and I loved it!

HannibalACP82,

There are many TT gallardo owners on this forum, and I believe there is a wealth of information to be shared between members, I am not trying to argue on what the cars are worth, just trying to get an understanding on what they trade for.

Now your statement on 10-15% of asking price is not true. UGR has the same orange spyder listed for $220k, while Elite motorsports has it listed for $185k, and it's been Sitting for over a year at $185k. http://www.urmotors.com/vDisplay.php?StkNo...s-78726/3577252

Now, UGR has a very good reason to ask $220k, and I completely understand that. 9/10 people who don't frequent forums and looking for a UGR TT spyder would gladly spend $220k, when realistically it could be had for $185k

I will say this:

Once you have actually experienced a UGR TT Gallardo, you won't really care much about the money.

I'm lucky I bought mine before driving it. They could have let me drive it first then asked whatever they wanted and I probably would have paid it, lol.

Worst of all: if you can't afford it, and you try it, you will do things that you didn't think you were capable of to obtain it.

FYI I threw in the 10-15% as a random number. My point was you are going to have a VERY HARD TIME going to anyone selling a TT and saying I have looked at X cars and they have sold at Y-Z% off. I want your car at N-Z%. I also know you aren't arguing at all but just asking to be informed! Other people are blowing up your thread on TT Values with the same old TT Reliability arguments.

No hard feelings and I really do hope you find the right TT at the right price. They are AWESOME! If you have the time to weight I am sure you can find a smoking deal...time is going to be your best friend though,

Medici78,

I sold my spyder 1 week after I had my first ride in a TT gallardo.I was hooked from day one. Which is why I'm doing my research to find the right car. I have a personal issue on getting raped on resale. I am not trying to buy a car for less than what it's trading for. Just trying to not to overpay for something that could be had for less.

I agree with you, your not going to get a seller to sell the car for significantly less unless he's truly motivated to unload it.

I appreciate the comments brother, no hard feelings at all

Rohan,

Like Hannibal said, I think the bottom line is that trying to conclude a percentage on which these TT cars/mods should be sold for is difficult because the price will be very seller dependant (financial situation, motive to sell, vehicle condition and specs, etc.). It is basically no different than buying a car that is not modified. Too many variables for a clear answer.

Find a car you like and from the info and research you have gathered from this thread, try your best to negotiate but just remember that the 50% off mods number may certainly not apply in all cases.

GL, and let us know what you come up with.

BTW, what car are you looking to buy? Have you made up your mind on tuner/kit? You should read my thread a few threads down as I was in the same boat as you 4 months ago.

The owner asked me to list it for 220k. I have no idea why its listed lower at SW's as this was just brought to my attention.

Kisco,

I appreciate the comments, I have a very good idea now on pricing .My preference would be 08 SL TT stage 3 or better. I would also be ok w/ a 06-07 car w/ a R version build. The only UGR SL cars listed right now are significantly over 50% for mods and out of my price range as well. The cheapest one is $266k... Asking 100% for mods :(

You can also find a good deal on a stock SL, build it and get the 2 year 24,000 mile warranty. ;)

Kevin,

I think I would be well over the $260k range if I build from scratch. If $ was no issue, this thread wouldn't even exist. That would honestly be my first option. Now, if your giving me a really special discount on a build, I will gladly buy a stock SL and send it right to you lol :)

If your friend bought Gianca's car [my car before that] then you know there are deals to be had. It comes down to how long you are willing to wait to find the right deal.

With UGR having 60 cars there currently, I don't see that happening. Being a nice guy is one thing but I can appreciate him not bringing down the market value of his product.

These GTT's are kind of like a custom home. If you want something specific then you can get it but it costs a couple bucks to customize it to your liking. If you just want the normal basic stage deal then maybe you can get it at a simple price but everyone I know, likes to opt for some luxury options in a custom home :)

In a car, maybe its a specific clutch or suspension upgrade where in a home its valuted ceilings or LED lighting around the walkway....Same difference.

Make sure you love the car instead of trying to buy one at the cheapest price. With that said, message me over the weekend Rohan1 and I'll show you some of the differences with the GTT cars. We can even video it to post on here if you want.

Yes sprite, infact I am on my way to FL right now with Thiago get the car tuned for c16. :)

I negotiated the car for him and all I have to say he is extremely happy with it.

Giancarlo, babied that car and Thiago almost felt bad loading it up on the trailer, as giancarlo was emotionally attached to it.

Nick,

I was just kidding about Kevin giving me a discount and even if he did, I would t call him out on a public forum for it lol :)

I agree on not buying the cheapest one, that will just end up costing you more in the long run. I spoke with celebrity motorcars regarding the black SL R version w/ 2k miles. It's a consignment car and the owner is now willing to take $244k for it. I have offered them $210k and it was declined. I think once it sits for a month or two more, he may lower the $.

This to me is pure automotive porn. The engine bay done by UGR, is pure tits

Modo,

I agree bro, in no hurry here. If anything I've learned a good bit from the info on this thread. Just have to wait for the right car for me to pop up!
