IanMan Report post Posted July 6, 2016 So how about that Hillary Clinton announcement? This is my favorite part of what the FBI said and it makes you scratch your head: "To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions." Petraeus was out of the job hella fast and this is just a slap in the face. Kevin2772 Report post Posted July 6, 2016 This makes me question the legitimacy of all offices of government....let alone the upcoming election....
WheelsRCool Report post Posted July 6, 2016 Probably too many powerful people tied to this if Hillary was indicted. So we have what is likely a criminal on one hand and a fruitcake on the other for our presidential nominees. Hillary and Trump. That's like asking for Superman and getting Cheech and Chong. That's like asking for Superman and getting Cheech and Chong. its one thing to hate someone for intangible personal opinions of him (like most do with trump). Im not saying hes the best thing since sliced bread, but again, not liking his personality isn't necessarily an indication he cant do the job....On the other hand, when there is tangible evidence proving wrong doing, and full frontal proof showing deep levels of corruption, that IS an indication that person cant do the job. And its alarming people out there don't see that.....

I think the only benefit of Hillary winning the nomination is that these sorts of things will stick out and cannot be ignored, which will undermine a lot of the typical knee jerk Trump hate that's out there. Unfortunately, Trump doesn't seem to have a campaign with the infrastructure to be hitting her with ads on this in key swing states and surrogates going out on television and repeating all the talking points Comey gave the GOP about Hillary. He instead seems to believe he can repeat his success of the Primary and win the General with Twitter, rallies, and interviews. Surrogates and ads to repeat these talking points are important force multipliers. He also keeps getting involved in stupid side issues (like criticizing the judge on his Trump University case for being Hispanic).
