Lamboperth Report post Posted November 8, 2013 Hi all, Would like to know how many TT owners use their car as daily driver. I intend to use mine as daily driver when TT'd with a bolt on next month. Also as a track car but only at "tune and test" days. I have heard -urban myth?- that can't use TTG as daily driver in typical texas summer heat similar to Perth summers, as engine bay gets too hot? I can drive my RS6V10TT in perth summer heat, but it is running seven radiators and five fans! Obviously even with a low power bolt on TT , you shouldn't punch it in corners or you will experience severe instant rotation Stay at home when raining lol. Any real life daily driver experiences on road and 'tune and test' track days appreciated. cheers, john
duhawks Report post Posted November 8, 2013 I am your guy for this lol. You will have 0 issues at all but your daily commutes will be so much fun! I had a normal car at the time too but said to the hell with it and drove my TT Lambo every day to work. Only problem is running errands, I just hate parking around a lot of other cars. Reliability is great though.
duhawks Report post Posted November 8, 2013 Forgot to mention I drive about 2.5 hours a day. Most of that is in traffic I still had fun driving the car. Even in the 90 degree plus heat.
TurboGallardo Report post Posted November 8, 2013 In my experience the Gallardo cooling systems are very robust and very capable of dealing with high ambient temps.
Kisco Report post Posted November 8, 2013 I wouldn't mind DD my car if half of the season didn't consist of snow. I don't think you have anything to worry about other than spending a lot more money on gas.

scoote69 Report post Posted November 10, 2013 I drive mine all the time -- not quite daily-- but that's a function of it being a small 2 door car rather than being twin turbo'd. I've never had a problem. How many miles do the people that drive their cars daily have on their cars? I've driven about 9000 in a year and a half. Lamboperth Report post Posted November 10, 2013 Nice Christmas present ... Is it the Heffner kit ... Hi 'wooosh', As first dip of toe in the turbulent waters of TTG's, yes it is a Heffner 'bolt on' for LP560. The only kit available in Australia as 'bolt on' at present. Will see how that goes first. If get the horse power bug, like duhawks and kisco, may have to look at other options like Heffner Elite and UGR higher stages as well. That would mean shipping car to North Carolina. cheers, john ps the TT Gallardo forum should come with a financial health warning sticker. lol. There is also a turbo tuner in Gidgeganup that specialises in GTR turbo modifications/installations. Here is the link to Marks Workshop. http://www.marksworkshop.com.au/ cheers, john

ATL_ Report post Posted December 9, 2013 how you can deal with the e-gear clutch for DD specially on TRAFFIC??? I have never driven in a mode other than corsa and the LP cars are an easy DD. Yeah, sometimes I get frustrated but the experience is worth the hassle of admission.

Yeah, sometimes I get frustrated but the experience is worth the hassle of admission. +1 I daily drive LP560 in traffic in corsa mode all the time, since installed hi tech Kevlar clutch. Very smooth. Nearly as good as the 2006 G in traffic. cheers, john
